Wandering by the fields with my daughter (who's named Helen), I captured this landscape image with a big tree dominating the scene.
The photo is taken in the near infrared with a Pentax K100D which I have personally modified removing the IR blocking filter and replacing it with a visible-light blocking filter.
Only red pixels are sensitive to IR: the colors beyond red in the light spectrum are regenarated automatically by the camera with the white-balance algorithm.
No photoshop whatsoever has been used to modify the image, but everything has been produced by my beloved Pentax!.
After all, I love the dream-like effect of the colors mix.

I love NIR photography for the dreamlike colours it can produce for both landscapes and people portraits.
I have modified a Pentax K100D, by removing the IR filter placed in contact with the sensor and inserted a visible-light stop filter (of the same thickness to preserve the autofocus functionality).
The photos I get are just white-balanced; no photoshop whatsoever.
This photo is taken just before sunset, close to a small lake where people go for fishing and relaxing.
