Thanks that worked, and makes more sense to me:
Set AV Mode
Set ISO using two circular dials
Adjust EV to center
About to dive into Light Room , If using M and aperture bracketing, what are the pros & cons of the two processes Shutter bracketing vs Aperture bracketing

Bracketing
I recently did a trip where bracketing did not work as expected. The expectation was that in Manual mode ISO and Aperture would stay the same, and only shutter would change. This is, I am told what Nikon and Canon do.
In this trip we were striving to use F16 ISO 100 only, but the Camera did not like this idea.
Question
How do I do bracketing so only shutter speed changes.
What are the advantages of the current configuration and how do I best utilize it.
More info in attachment for clarity, and yes definitely a newbi
thanks in advance

During that period my nearly new Pentax K1 has been in BNE doing sfa.
Family has delivered it and other goodies to my room and i am reacquainting myself after going cold turkey
So far

Down in Australia, 103 deaths, 492 active cases, and the pubs are open again !
However,
My Camera is in Australia , I am in PNG, been six months since i have seen it, and may be another six months before i do. The quarantine rules of 14 days both ways is just too burdensome. And the liquor ban is helping me to lose weight.
But i can still buy stuff, have an impressive pile waiting for me.
sa la vie

I like the concept of select !
Was chatting to a professional photographer, Dan, Capture the Atlas - Travel & Photography Blog | Photo Tours who has some really great stuff on his site, please have a look (free plug) and i was explaining my rationale for going down the PENTAX pathway,
He made some interesting comments.
Pentax cameras are famous for being rugged, sturdy and capable of standing almost any weather condition. There is no doubt why it's the favorite camera of most of the war-journalists ;)
Now there's a niche i have never heard discussed here , what exposure do you use for the apocalypse !
and As for the technical aspects of the camera, being honest I never had the chance of trying a Pentax camera nor found any client on my workshops using their system. I heard that they deliver pretty good results but, as you said, it looks like the range of lens options is not as varied as with the most popular brands. As for the ISO I'm sure you can handle 3200 perfectly and even up to 6400 with a decent amount of noise, so paired with any of the fast lenses you mentioned I'm sure you'll see pretty good results.
( We were talking astrophotograhy)
No not only select, i think there is probably a lot of respect from those that take their photography seriously, esp outdoors.

I believe that if you key lock, rather than fob lock it is "more locked" not sure if this applies to all makes. That is you cannot open it electronically.
One thing i have done is fully insure my gear
Since i have a Land Rover Defender , not the most secure vehicle, i am thinking of bolting a security box into the rear cabin. But a bit extreme for a lot of vehicles.

My first and last serious bush fire first hand was Ash Wednesday 1983, since then seriously cautious, in Sept 2019 i was in Glenreagh, NSW when they declared a Total Fire Ban the next day, i was packed and gone by 0600. Thats how long this fire season has been going on.
Unfortunately thats Australia. In the last 50 years there has been a serious lack of preventative winter burn offs, and dare i say, a lot of people living in high risk environments.
Have a look at that number for volunteers in 1983, 130,000 !! I suppose the USA equivalent would have otbe 1,000,000 +
Stay safe folk, we can replace anything, except you.
The Ash Wednesday bushfires, known in South Australia as Ash Wednesday II,[3] were a series of bushfires that occurred in south-eastern Australia on 16 February 1983, which was Ash Wednesday in the Christian calendar. Within twelve hours, more than 180 fires fanned by winds of up to 110 km/h (68 mph) caused widespread destruction across the states of Victoria and South Australia.[4] Years of severe drought and extreme weather combined to create one of Australia's worst fire days in a century.[5] The fires became the deadliest bushfire in Australian history until the Black Saturday bushfires in 2009.
In Victoria 47 people died. There were 28 deaths in South Australia. This included 14 CFA and 3 CFS volunteer fire-fighters who died across both states that day.[6][7] Many fatalities were as a result of firestorm conditions caused by a sudden and violent wind change in the evening which rapidly changed the direction and size of the fire front.[8][9] The speed and ferocity of the flames, aided by abundant fuels and a landscape immersed in smoke, made fire suppression and containment impossible.[10] In many cases, residents fended for themselves as fires broke communications, cut off escape routes and severed electricity and water supplies.[11] Up to 8,000 people were evacuated in Victoria at the height of the crisis and a state of disaster was declared for the first time in South Australia's history.[6][8] More than 35 townhouses were burned in a small town in Victoria.
Ash Wednesday was one of Australia's costliest natural disasters.[12] More than 3,700 buildings were destroyed or damaged and 2,545 individuals and families lost their homes. Livestock losses were very high, with more than 340,000 sheep, 18,000 cattle and numerous native animals either dead or later destroyed.[13] A total of 4,540 insurance claims were paid totalling A$176 million with a total estimated cost of well over $400 million (1983 values) for both states or $1.3 billion in adjusted terms (2007).[1][14]
The emergency saw the largest number of volunteers called to duty from across Australia at the same time—an estimated 130,000 firefighters, defence force personnel, relief workers and support crews |

If i had this dilemma, especial professional work for third parties i would be:
PC Hard Drive
Local External Drive Copy
Cloud
And potentially VPN to remote storage at trusted family member.
But then im the sort of personal who has rotating daily, weekly , monthly backups for work.
