Accidental double exposures on Pentax 67 - Has anyone had this happen?
I have just got 4 rolls back. 2 of them had double exposures about mid roll. The other 2 were fine.

When winding to start position in said rolls, the arm did feel loose, but once I closed the back - it felt normal. (slight resistance when cranking the arm)
Any idea as what would cause this?
It is not new, I have been using it for awhile, have never seen this before...

Pentax 67 - Studio Strobe Help

The studio owner said this wire (sync cable) is used all the time with the same camera (Pentax 67) and that it works fine.
But if it were my Pentax that were the problem, im not sure why it would fire off one flash and not trigger the other. I would assume if it was the camera, that neither lights would fire.
That is my confusion on this.

Yes it still didn't fire both even with Skyport off...

However, would it be normal for wired sync to not fire both lights, with the Skyport on?

Hi Steve,
I'm not sure what you mean.
I just use the Skyport for my other camera (contax).. not the Pentax.
Or do you mean would it work if the Skyport was not in use at all?

---------- Post added 02-17-21 at 12:25 PM ----------

The Pentax is only connected via pc sync cord...

Hi,

I am looking for some help / ideas for this problem I had on my last shoot.
I was shooting in studio with my Pentax 67 and 2 lights - Elinchrom monolights, connected to my camera with a pc sync cord (not to the lens, I don't have leaf shutter).
At the same time I was using my Contax G2, connected to the lights with a Skyport.

Every time I used the Contax, both lights went off as they were suppose to.
Every shot I took with the Pentax, only one flash went off.

I asked the guy who runs the studio and he says people use the sync cord every day and have no problem with it so I don't think it's that.

Could it be my Pentax, and if so why would it work to fire off one flash and not both?

Any advice much appreciated!

Pentax 67 Frame Not Advancing - Halfway through Roll

Hi Silent Street,
I'm not sure what you mean about the pre-punched hole. I use Kodak Portra, I don't poke a hole in this and have never heard of doing so?
I feed it through the take up spool and yes I pull across until the arrows align with the 120 mark.
The pressure plate and side switch is set to 120.
I am still trying to figure out the problem...

Pentax 67 Frame Not Advancing - Halfway through Roll

Hi, I am looking for some help with my Pentax 67.
This has happened to me 3 times in a row, in the middle of shoots which has been quite frustrating.
I load the film, start shooting; and then at about the half way point of the 120 film, the film stops advancing. I can still fire, and use the lever (the lever isn't jammed); but the frame will not move up to the next number, and I can feel that the film inside is not winding anymore.

The first time this happened, I had no idea what to do so I took out the film, wasting my shots, and replaced the batteries and put a new roll in, and it started working again.
(So I assumed it was batteries)
The next time I very confused because I had just changed the batteries. I didn't have time to play around so I changed the batteries again (and had to waste the film inside as I had to remove it), and it worked again.
Now today, it happened again. The battery check shows that the battery is not dead. The film got stuck on 5.

Does anyone know why this is happening and how to fix?
Any ideas would be appreciated, thanks!

Hello all,

I know there are some threads about this topic but I am getting confused reading all the various information.
I have a Pentax 67 (no leaf shutter lens). I would like to buy a pc synch cord so I can use flash.
Can someone please tell me the exact cord I need to buy? Or a link to one?

Thanks in advance.

Help + Advice: Pentax 67 Light Leak Or?

When you say x-ray damage do you mean, at the lab?
I have not travelled with the film.
Are you saying it is probably not a problem with seals as that would look different (orange)?
I wonder if had did something incorrect when I unloaded, but I am quite careful and it is strange as it is on both rolls.
Does it mean anything that it is on the outside of the frame (black edge) on each photo that is damaged?

Help + Advice: Pentax 67 Light Leak Or?

Thanks for your replies.
I have checked back and it is hard to tell if they are consistent on each photo. They look like the same sort of light leak but not always in the same spot or same size. Like these kind of wavy patterns almost. Almost always on the left hand side of photo though - do you think this means something?
On the first roll I brought in, the last 4 images were damaged.
On the second roll I brought in, the 1st 4 images (all on the left side) as well last the last 1 (entire shot) were damaged. And one other one has a tiny leak on the side of frame that is barely noticed.
Basically it seems to be completely random in terms of which frame has been damaged.
To be more clear, I always use this lab. I have had light leaks on a few images in the past (as in 1 image on a roll here and there).
Never as many as this, which is why I am worried it is my camera - or that I am doing something wrong that I am unaware of!
I have switched to 120mm just this year (from Contax g2); so there are still many things I do not know.

Hello,
I need some help. I have recently got 2 rolls back and my photos are ruined with what I think are light leaks.
I shoot for work almost every week and for example, last week my photos did not have any light leaks.
I checked a few weeks back and I found a few here and there.
I will attach examples. (I know the exposure is slightly off but these were the best examples with leaks)
Could this be the lab, or is it how I am handling the film? I am not careless when doing this but perhaps something is going wrong that I am unaware of?
Any help would be appreciated.
