Hi guys,
I recently acquired a shiny Pentax 24-70 2.8 for my K1, and I'm super happy with it, especially after years of only being able to use my old 35mm era lenses (they are great, and I still use them, but not ideal for work.).
I am looking into different film cameras that will allow me to shoot 35mm but with a decent autofocus and good controls. I have an SFX, but it's giving me problems like focus not focusing correctly, or film getting stuck mid-roll, so I want to replace it.
My question is: Is there any modern film Pentax SLR that can work with my 24-70? And if not, which one would be the best recommendation for a good autofocus SLR (I am thinking of getting a Z-1p)?

Shutter closes but the flash doesn’t fire...

I tried a Nikon specific flash, and it synched in manual mode. I guess the flash is malfunctioning. What a bummer, I don’t know if I should try to fix it or just try to return it, which will take a while.

Hi again,
Thanks for all the useful advice, but I was not able to make it work. Might be a faulty flash, I don't know. Still shoots a flash in P TTL mode that doesn't give a correct exposure, and doesn't trigger in manual mode.

Hi guys,
I hope you are all doing ok. I ve got a major issue and I would like to know if someone could help me out.
I recently bought a YONGNUO YN585EX with P TTL. Right out of the box it seemed to work fine with my K1, TTL, manual and everything. After that, I proceeded to try it out with my old 50mm 1.4 (manual lens), and then put another more modern lens back in, and it seems that it doesn't work properly anymore.
Now, TTL doesn't work at all, it just triggers a low flash, and when I put it on manual, flash doesn't even trigger. This all happened in about 20 minutes after opening the box.
Any clues? Am I missing something? I am new to flash photography, so I might be doing something wrong, but it's very frustrating and I need to use the flash in 2 days, and train a little bit with it.
