On my K3 I’ve been able manually adjust the flash power, in ratios of 1/1 down to 1/128. I did this on the photo of the antlion so I could use a more open aperture. F4 to 5.6 were pretty much unusable even with the paper trick.

Hi all, I’m a new photographer who is currently getting heavy into macro photography. I’m looking for advice on flash unit and wireless triggers. I’m currently relying on the on camera flash with a sheet of white paper as a diffuser and it’s mega frustrating!
What I’m shooting:
Pentax k3 with SMC 100mm F/4 K series
I’ve included a couple of photos I’ve taken recently as well.
