Thank you, Dennis. It seems that these Herons establish a base territory and adapt to their surroundings very well. Actually on this trail, we were the only people giving the bird much attention.

Nicely composed, Dennis. I believe Forsythia blooms add great contrast with the old barn in the background with just enough light to show its age and condition. A bit of a nostalgic image.

Tucker Creek Walking Trail extends through a residential area in Conway. On the day of these shots, I was using the Pentax KP and 55-300 PLM. I was surprised how well the camera and lens performed with in-flight photos.

I am also sorry to hear that you had cloud cover during the eclipse. In Arkansas, we lucked out and had clear skies throughout the eclipse even though it was iffy until the day before the eclipse. Hopefully you will get some opportunity again to photograph at least a partial eclipse.
