I have had that problem since new. IF I take the battery out or cycle the power a few times it works OK for the rest of the day. If it sits over 24 hours with the battery in I get nothing but blank shots untill I cycle the power. Pentax said send it in for repair. I have been using it this way for about a month and will send it in after Easter.

I live in Lebanon and work in Portland.
I have checked everywhere. No one has them in stock and they have no Idea when they will.

I need to purchase a Flash for my K10D. I do not know much about photography but I am on a fast track to learn since I got my camera a few weeks ago. I would like to purchase the Pentax 540 but It is not in stock anywhere. Will the Sigma EF500 DG work just as good? If not any suggestions would be helpful. I want to buy the right equipment so I do not have to upgrade later.
Is anyone using the Sigma?

I would like to get the Pentax 540 but nobody has them in stock. I can get a Sigma EF500DG. Has anyone purchased this flash for their K10D?

I installed the V1.10 Firmware yesterday and my lockup problem is gone! I am really starting to like this new camera. Now if I can only figure out how to use it.

I got my K10D yesterday also.. I hope and can figure out how to work this thing! It has been 15 years since I used an SLR
