Well that's not an answer to my question. And if you read what I said, I had a port left open which disabled the weather sealing. I've taken my k3 in torrential downpours of rain snow and ice and had no issues :)

Hello! Thank you for taking the time to read this!
So I have had my Pentax k-3 for about five years now, I've taken on so many trips with me, and I'm at roughly 9,000 shutter clicks.
In 2015 I ended up getting water inside of my k3 and it bugged it out really bad in my viewfinder and lens was all fogged up. I sat in the sun for a day and everything was completely 100% fine and back to functioning!
But my problem now is that I took my camera to Iceland, it's very rainy there, and my camera strap had opened up the microphone Port without me knowing some rain got inside.
The lens started fogging up, so I went and tried the old routine and just left it sitting to dry out, and it worked, the camera was back to functioning and the lens was all clear of moisture, however there was one side effect. My LCD screen will not turn on or function in any mode!
I tried contacting precision camera about a repair, but they want $350 :( you're too, because I can take pictures fine, I finished our trip just shooting blindly and the photos turned out great! I just wasn't able to review them because the LCD screen went out.
if there are any suggestions or recommendations on what to try to get my LCD screen working again please please let me know! I really don't want to have to send my camera and then paid $350 for the stupid screen. Even if somebody has a guide to repair it myself that would be way better! Any help is much appreciated!

Hello. I took my Pentax into some heavy rain and water got I through the mic port. I dried it out and everything is working fine, but the LCD screen is now completely non fictional. What did you end up doing for your LCD? Did you send it to Pentax?
