The minimum focus distance is still 1.5m. There's no chance for refund but I got a good package deal so I won't take a big loss on this lens but I have been after it for a while so it would be nice to get it t work properly. ---------- Post added 13-10-19 at 21:10 ----------
I would like to try that. Could you give me a bit more instructions how you did it?
Thanks!

it focuses up to 15m or so. Focusing ring turns normally all the way to the infinity mark.

Hi,
I bought a K135mm/2.5 that looks to be in excellent condition. Everything seems to work perfectly, except it doesn't focus to infinity.
I can't see any faults inside or outside the lens. Any ideas what could cause this?
I have tested the lens with KP and on a film camera and it always behaves the same way.
Thanks

Wouldn't this be what most people wanted? Greatly improved AF and good 26 megapixel sensor. Sounds very promising to me.

You think that new FF camera is more likely than new crop sensor camera?

I also moved from 5Kiis to KP and it was an bigger upgrade than I expected. Though to me K5iis was more comfortable to hold. And if you look around you might get a good deal on used K-1.

I was there in March and used only 16-85mm. At the time I didn't have 55-300mm plm, but I wish I would have. It's a bit tricky to change lenses in the jungle and on guided tours. It's Also a good idea to travel light.
Have fun!

A28/2.0 is my favourite. Nice build quality and handling paired with very good image quality. It's also light.

1. if you decide to get 55-300mm, get the new PLM version in my opinion it's much better lens than he older versions.
2. if you are happy with 18-135mm you would probably be happy with 55-300mm but 100mm WR has special "limited" level build quality and optics. My copy has ok autofocus on K5 and KP but it's certainly not for action.

Hi,
When using auto iso on my kp it doesn't want to use iso 100 when focusing infinity. It does seem to work differently when I focus close.
I have tried all different auto iso modes but in this regard they work the same.
Has anyone else noticed this kind of behaviour?
Any help much appreciated!

I am with philanker2012 on this. KP is better camera than my old K5IIs but the ergonomics are not as good, for me. I use only wrist trap and used to be comfortable carrying k5 in my hand for long mountain hikes. I can do the same with kp but it's much harder. Otherwise excellent camera.

I was making that same decision 2 years ago.
I ended up with 16-85mm because: more reliable autofocus, size and 16 vs 18mm.
If you do hiking and outdoors stuff get 16-85mm if not sigma might be a good choice.

If you don't mind added weight and price you should consider DA 16-85mm

DA 16-85mm. After my DA* 16-50mm broke it took me a long time to find a suitable lens to replace it. I was really close at leaving Pentax since I didn't think that there was a good replacement for my most important lens. I wrongly thought that 16-85mm would not be as good or even better than 16-50mm.

You should also think about what lenses you want. Currently there is no alternative for DA16-85mm for FF.
If only pentax would make high quality 24-105mm f4 ....

I am planning to carry KP + 16-85 and one of these: 31mm/100mm wr/ 55mm 1.4.
I also added peak design 5l sling on my list.

Thank you for good suggestions.
I think I like the Domke F-5xb the best. Could anyone who owns one confirm that they can fit body + 2 medium sized lenses in it?
Weirdly enough no one seems to sell those in Sweden or Finland. So I would have to order from Germany without seeing it first.
Thanks!
