It is still a rolling shutter though, right? I would think any subject which needs burst mode would be better captured with a mechanical shutter to avoid weird rolling shutter effects.

I have bought Watson and Wasabi batteries in the past and both style flaked out pretty quickly. A year or two of use and they stopped holding a charge as well and the off brands did quite poorly in cold weather. Obviously my sample size is pretty small, but I won't buy the off brand batteries any more. They just don't seem to last long enough to make it worthwhile.

i have had no problems with third-party batteries, and hate to pay the extra cost, but I won't tell you how to spend your money, nor does this seem the place to discuss battery source yet another time.

I would have reckoned that a FF TC would have been near the top of the list once the K1 was released. A lot of value-adding with not too much effort.

It's funny because I think there are three schools of thought.
(1) Photographers who desire more computational photography. That is to say, there are those who don't care if there are lens adjustments and distortion controlled applied in the back ground, even to raw images. They are glad if the camera combines images for better low light performance and feel that ILCs would do well to mirror cell phone cameras.
(2) Photographers who believe in RAW purity. These are the folks who order their steak totally uncooked, fresh from the butcher. They run analysis on RAW images looking for signs of tweaking behind the scenes and study images at 200 and 300 percent to see if there is sign of smoothing here or there. For them, something like the accelerator is an anathema because it works on the RAW image which should be "RAW" -- hence the name!
(3) Everyone else. Most of us just want good images. We aren't particularly pixel peepers. We don't want heavy handed processing done behind the scenes, but if there is a little gentle massaging done to RAW images and we have less work to do after the fact, it's no big deal. I fall into this camp and while I might be able to shoot a bunch of images at iso 1600 on my K-1 and K-1 II and view them at 200 percent to compare detail, I don't see the point. For the RAW purity folks, I do hope future generations of camera can make them happy, but I guess I won't worry too much either way.

Uhhhhh, RE, the K-70 doesn't need an articulated LCD version as it already has that feature. Or did I miss something in your comment, My Friend? From what little I've read about the K-70 it is an excellent upper entry level DSLR that has some features that are unique to the K-70.
