I dabble in Leather from time to time when I feel the urge. I recently posted in the new lens contest a pic of some tools and someone asked me to post some items that I have made, so here's one of many. I don't have hardly any pictures of my work because I don't bother photographing them before I send them off to my customers. This is a cover for my wife's Kindle I made a few years back.

to your list I have to add:
windmills for electricity....and now were going back to windmills
used to have electric cars back in early 1900...guess what, going back to electric cars
had bell bottoms in the 60's...going back to bell bottoms again
backyard gardens went out with fancy supermarkets...gardens have made a huge comeback
funny how things recycle in our little world

Like other's I have found this video to be extremely informative. However one question I have that perhaps you can answer is what the heck is the little white circle with the line drawn through it on the shoulder on the left side next to the strap?
That thing has been bugging me for 4 years and I can't seem to find an answer anywhere.

Leehaze1 pentaxian youtuber has a vid out talking about the possibility of a k90 coming soon. Posted on 2/21/22. He seems to think it's close to coming to market.
His video is "Pentax talk live chat K90 camera?".

Thank you ProfessorBuzz
I knew that if I asked the community here on the Pentax Forums I would get an answer, not only an answer, but the RIGHT ANSWER! I followed your instruction and lo and behold IT WORKED! Of course it works, I could only expect the right answer from ProfessorBuzz! Thank you ever so much for your help. Here are the jpegs to show that it in fact worked! Shot with my 50mm DA 1.8 and the Kiron 2X
Thank you thank you!

No, it's bright metal just like the Pentax lenses are

Correct, I tried it set to auto without changing to manual as a test and it would not fire, changed to manual and it fired not only in AF but Bulb, U1-2-3, also in auto turned on video and it worked there also but terrible as the focus needs changing constantly, of course.

Thanks for the comment and for looking, It was so bad on one of the weekends that even our cat was having a problem breathing. It was so thick that the house across the street was just a grey foggy apparition!
The dates on the pics are not correct because I didn't have the date set correctly in the K70

---------- Post added 10-20-21 at 10:02 AM ----------

gee, should I thank you or despise you? Lol. I was only trying to show the extent of the smoke and the LIFELESS Armageddon that will become our planet because of global warming.

Well dear fellow Forum watchers I have really done it up now! Yep. I made the HUGE leap to a pre-owned K1! Yeppers, that's right I bought it used from the nice folks over at KEH. This is a huge leap for me, I have never had a camera that cost more than a keen thousand bucks. In fact never had one over $600.00. The one I bought has supposedly got just over 7000 actuations. That's about half of the total on my copy of the K70 that went bad. It's supposedly going to be in my hands on Friday afternoon. I am excited to say the least.
Thanks to all that chimed in on my story!

I have a backyard pond for Koi and I get a mix of Dragonflies and Damselflies that keep the Mosquito population at bay. This one with the beautiful clear wings and markings is one of my faves.

using a Vivitar 283 flash

I bought my vivatar 283 back in 1978 when I was doing wedding photos etc. Only piece of equipment I saved from back then. I tested it at 281V, I have used it on my Pentax but only 2-3 times, for some reason I pulled it out of the old case and thought I would start playing with it again...Going to get a Wein adaptor and play it safe. Not that my camera is worth much but at any rate I don't want to burn it up either.

---------- Post added 10-12-19 at 12:06 PM ----------

I am sure that I bought this flash back in 1978-79. Tested it at 281V...way too much for my camera I am afraid.

long time lurker here and decided to take the plunge and join the forum.
I have an older??? ist ds I got from my sister that her hubby had before his untimely demise. It was I think one of those that used to be on sale at Costco back in the early 2002's?
Anyway the lens is a Pentax 18-55MM. I have been into cameras going back to when I was in Vietnam shooting with a Ricoh 35mm back in the day. This camera has been taking a long time to get used to it over the days of using film which I do miss.
