Hi there, I am new to the forum and need help! My Pentax 200mm 2.8 lens stopped working. I believe it is the SDM failure. I have been researching on the web for how to convert from SDM to Screwmount which I would like to do. I have found several sites that explain how to do the conversion. The only problem is that the main computer program needed, PKTether, no longer is available. Some say PK Triggercord has replaced it but I have been to that website and not sure how to use. Is there anyone out there in the Pentax world that does these conversions for a fee if I send them my lens? Or is anyone willing to write a new script that uses PK Triggercord? I have this great lens but it is useless in the condition it is in. I do not want to pay 320 dollars to replace the SDM. Would much rather convert it to screw drive. Thanks for any help. ---------- Post added 10-12-19 at 02:37 PM ---------- I meant to add that I have a Pentax K5 DSLR.
