Same testing, works well, but the pictures have some artifact in the upper right corner. I'll have to look at the camera to see if i missed some filth on the lens, etc.
Smoke was just starting to roll in, so some minor PP to try to bring up the contrast on the mountain.
RB67 Pro S, 127mm. Tri-X again.

So, in school I fell in love with an RB67. So, i bought one of my own. It had been used in a portrait studio, so had lots of extra bits and bobs attached to it. While great for value purposes, they didn't bring the same joy of use. So, after being dormant for... 10 years... it got pulled out, and stripped down. Took it to work, and tried to see my skills in hand holding it. Only editing is basic crop, and some dust/scan detritus removal.

so, this camera is a work in progress, learned some already, next roll should be better. Or, at least, less bad...

If you want to mail your films across the continent, i can recommend my lab ;)
I'll absolutely try Portra 320, i'll post the results when they're available.
I do plan on doing some home scanning in the long term, I've just been a little cheap to pull the trigger on a halfway decent scanner. It'll happen, if only because i plan on going through some of my boxes of negatives. There's a euro trip from about 20 years ago that i'd like to be able to share with others.
Thank you for your time and help!

Same same but different - Pentax MX, A35-105, Portra 400. I don't mind the colours in this one.

Different test roll, same test rig. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but all i know is that i'm not enjoying the results i get with Porta 400. I always find it, well, brown.

i like this a lot, the pop of colour is nice, and the fog is beautifully captured.

i have been enjoying my lumix m4/3, it's a nice combination of size and capability.
i enjoyed my RB67 in my younger days, i think it's time to load up some ektar and the WLV and take it back out for a a spin.

My answer may be slightly more analog- a few years ago my answer would've been 200. I have stopped using fuji superia (it's no longer cheaper...), and now would be confident in going up to 400 (at least in portra). If i had full control of the sun (would be a neat party trick), i would only shoot at 100.
That being said, i am venturing into the iso800 world, and will see what sort of results I can get.

Actually, i was pleasantly surprised. After the higher than recommended number of xrays, i see no real damage to any of my shots. There's some with user error, but the only real "loss" was the picture that was taken when one camera hit the shutter release of the other lol.
My (unedited) Pentax images are located on flickr here
And the full set of edited pictures from a mix of 4 cameras is on flickr here
All in all, the trip was very good. I can't say it was relaxing, although it had relaxing moments. I learned a lot, and experienced a lot, which is what the goal was for this trip. I saw some fantastic sights.

Honestly? Aside from the group I was travelling with ("why are you using film? They still make film??"), no one commented.
I think the locals are so used to photos. At one of the hotels we were at we got to watch a good number of people effectively have photo shoots around the pool. The wedding photographers we understood, but the rest? I don't know... I've never seen so many pictures taken that are destined straight for instragram/deletion. ---------- Post added 01-08-20 at 11:47 AM ----------
We flew down to Phuket, and then rented a car and drove back up north to bangkok. The better question is - where aren't the 7-11s? ;) I have a picture from a couple gas stations, but you know, i don't think i ever shot a 7-11 or family mart. I guess i'm going to have to go back now...

I have a 2015 Subaru Outback Limited 3.6R. I ordered black on black - you may notice that there may be a slight discrepancy there. Got a discount on it, which is unheard of around here because of that.
A little big for small car spots, but otherwise gets me anywhere I want to go. Has space for my wife and I, and our dog, plus a good collection of stuff in the back. I've used it for the last few moves (i can fit a 6 foot long 9 drawer dresser in it), and it's yet to leave me stranded.
flat 6 for power, not driving a v8 any more for efficiency.

Good morning all,
So, while I am at the mercy of Canada Post, I am expecting to be joining the k-mount realm shortly. Let's pretend I have no lenses coming, either with a body, or from a "hey, it's only $9.99" ebay impulse. Ignoring any lenses made from unobtanium, what should i be looking at for a starter set? What will give me the best results, and put the k-mount era in the most optimal light (get it?).
Best set of 3 (or 5? what should i be looking at?) of reasonably attainable k-mounts, Pentax branded or otherwise. I've read a number of the lens reviews onboard here, and I have learned a lot. There is less information about how things play well together, as a real-world team of opticals. Uses as for travel, and for "art" locally. I don't sell anything, i just take them for fun. This will all be done on 35mm film, 80% colour.
Also... I don't know if going to kmounts will mean i'll need to change my username...
Failure to complete this task in 60 seconds will result in elimination... or at least my Spotmatic getting CLA'd and going back out ;)
Thanks!
