Hello! Mirror<->Mirrorless? I do agree with the optical viewfinder, but the DSLR:s are heavy and bulky when going around. I have a K-1 II,K70 and supplement with the lighter, smaller and quieter Pentax Q7 and Lumix TZ95,and are happy with them all.
-As an option to find a camera with an optical viewfinder and a smaller size, besides other reasons,I hope to find a used digital Leica M240 at an affordable prize to broaden my experience.

Hello! I am incidentally reading this thread about the K1 II and the gear.-I would like to put in a suggestion about backpacking. The swedish outwear brand "Fjällräven" has a small bag called "Photo Insert" which you can use in three ways.-1)just as a small photo-gear bag;2)put it inside another rucksack or even better, inside the "Fjällräven Kånken" for which it is custom made for;3) take out the loose and flexible inside compartment walls with velcro fastenings and use it in whatever bag that suits you together with you gear or other things(thermos etc).
Greetings/Bertil(K-70,K-1II,Q7).

Apropos weight. Maybe a televonverter occaisonally could be an option instead of an extra lens when trekking.

Hello. I do not know if this is the right place for my notice, but anyhow.....I wrote some days ago about my front broken eye piece glass and my way of doing an easy, cheap and fast reparation.-The camera had fallen down on the floor. -In my search for some protective means of keeping my K-1 fit I have found a photo bag to be placed inside a rucksack which seems flexible and very handy for trekking etc. The product is called "Fjällräven Photo Insert". Could be a tip for travelling, trekking and so on.

The operation concerns the outer shield glass, not the inner with its eye correction optics.-With the metal saw I did open a small elongate space on the upper part of the plastic(not metal!) compartment which holds the eye piece glass. In that I could slide down the new glass which had the right dimensions to fit in exactly.Nothing can be seen when the rubber eye piece mussel is on, and the glass is fitting very tight also to preserve the weather sealing.-When needed I can post some photos separetely to interested viewers.

Hello! If you send over your email adress to me(bertilarild@gmail.com)I can answer more thorough and also take a photo of the performed operation."There is no metal involved, only just plastic"./Bertil

Hello. I broke my eye piece glass(Pentax K-1 II) and ordered a new one. Instead of doing some camera demantling of top cover etc. I took a metal saw and made an opening over the glass holder(plastic) and could slide down the new glass from above. Took about 10 minutes.
Regards!

Hello Pentax-friends. The sample for November to be chosen is hard. Very good photos with thought out compostion and colour matching are fore hand.
-My choice is number 11.In this photo the nature:s cold force is nicely presented like a painting and the green colour is so right as it could also be associated to the ongoing discussion about climate and "green power".
