I thought I was getting things under control by focusing on just a couple brands, Pentax and Minolta. Well, then I found an Olympus kit, and then a Konica kit, oh, and an Argus brick with accessories. The last Konica I purchased came with a Nikomat......that led to the purchase of a Nikkormat. A box of stuff I found on Craigslist netted me a Canon A1....
Hoarding? Not me, I exercise one every six months or so. My current problem is finding the one I want when I go looking for it. Hoarding? Uuuuumm, no, "collecting". Yes, that's it..."collecting". I almost forgot....four dslr... 😁
Should I join cameras anonymous, or just keep my cameras anonymous 🤔

Sometimes I feel that the line between "collecting", and "hoarding" gets a little out of focus at times. 😂 😂 😂

A friend of mine just told me that when he had his pilot license he took a guy up for some aerial photography. An hour and a half later the guy found out he forgot to put film in his camera.

We just had an ice storm go through, so this morning I went to take some pictures, and were they beautiful! I knew that my Auto Program had half a roll left in it, and after I finished it up, I went to rewind it....and no tension. So with a sinking feeling I opened it, and yup, no film. When I returned home, I started searching through the cameras, only to find it was my Konica T4 that had the partial roll of film in it. 🙄
I will now keep this sort of information in the notes section of my phone, and not rely on my faulty memory.
Since I told on myself, have any of you done something similar?

All I need is your address. As you can see, mine are already boxed. 😁

I think It was LesDMess that mentioned a time or two that he had a box of filters that he had never used. Well, here is mine. How many of you have the same box, and if you have used a filter out of your box, were you happy with the results. 20231215_160157 by Sam Grabenhorst, on Flickr

Beautiful restoration. Are you planning on trying your hand at "touching up" any pictures from a 100 yr old cameras?

Between the research and the collection of restored artifacts, you should have a small museum on display.

Oh the horror of things. It's sacrilege to use a perfectly good Falcon as a sign. 😢

A friend just dropped this off with me today. I have never had something this complete before. Box, styrofoam, plastic the camera was wrapped in, paperwork, receipt from July of 1989 for $209.95 for a body and cap. This is in pristine condition, no wear anywhere, and the seals are not degrading at all. It does have the capacitor problem, but for free. Yes, free. My friend found it on his local craigslist, free to the first one who came and got it. 20230713_132944 by Sam Grabenhorst, on Flickr 20230713_133102 by Sam Grabenhorst, on Flickr 20230713_133110 by Sam Grabenhorst, on Flickr 20230713_133133 by Sam Grabenhorst, on Flickr

I rotate through mine.
Crazy thing is, I just took my Olympus OM-2s program out for the next trip.
My problem is getting things developed. I finally developed the last two rolls but have yet to post them. Procrastination isn't my middle name, it's my first, last, AND middle name. 🙃
So far, I have "exercised" a Minolta X700, Konica T2, Pentax Me super (my wife's)and MX. Both Pentax are the ones that have been developed. I currently need to finish up a roll in my Konica T4 (day trip was cut short). Olympus OM2s is ready for the next trip. Our big vacation, five days at Yosemite, isn't until September. Who knows what I will take then. ---------- Post added 06-19-23 at 11:17 PM ----------
Sounds like fun. I live in Toledo, Or and a BMW is on my list of used dual sport that I am researching.

A friend of mine really liked one of my cameras, so I looked for one as a gift. The one I found came with a second, different camera body and brand. It is a Nikomat and I am having it looked over. It didn't come with a lens. So as any frugal person will do, you don't just buy one lens, you look for an old kit that has a couple lenses, flash, camera ,etc. You know it will only cost a little more than a single lens, and if you find a kit that has a different model body, then you have TWO different bodies that everything will interchange, and it cost so much less....and....and....and.

Yup, I found that out when I researched my SR-1. I like my optional light meter, even though I have not actually tried the camera yet. 😅

Is any brand dslr ok to post, or just Pentax. I was thinking about starting a thread about vintage dslrs, which I have a few. 😁

I received this and another camera (see separate thread) in a trade last summer. I was wondering if any of you happen to have/had one, and your thoughts on it. 20220201_172711 by Sam Grabenhorst, on Flickr
