Hi all I have been on here for a while, I just read posts and never comment, but I am n the process of getting rid of all my pentax stuff. I have
An old K2 that i've had for 40yrs I was going to try to sell it but somehow you can see a crack inside when you look through the viewfinder, I was told can't be fixed , so if anyone out there want it for parts or just to have i'll give to to them

I have one also and have had good results with it , far better than the onboard. I have had zero problems with the pin but I am also extra carefull putting it on and off due to breaking one in the past. I would recommend reading the guide posted by matt as it explains how to use it much better than the manual
Cheers

I had the same problem with a sigma lens , or so i thought I couldn't see any spots on my lens or the filter but when looking at my pics there was 3 spots same spot in every pic. Cleaning the sensor didn't help, spots always there. My daughter was looking at my camera out in the sun and said your filter is dirty trying to clean it she couldn't get the SPOTS off , so in the bright sun if I turned the filter flat to the sun I could see my spots , flaws in the glass not spots on the glass so if the problem just won't go away , it is possible to have flawed glass.

Ok that makes sense now that I think about it , but I never had the problem before , but that's not to say I didn't notice before either

I ran into a strange one the other day. I was using my 110D with a tokina 80~200 lens from my old SLR. Naturally the camera will only work in ap or manual so I took a few test shots in manual set at 11F in order to get decent exposure I had to go down to 125~180th on the shutter , but when I put it into apreture priority
with the same F11 the camera was picking shutter speeds between 750 and 1500 iso200 which looked better than my shots. So I tried to use the same shutter speeds in manual that the AP shots used and all I could get was a black shot. And I checked the camera stayed in iso200 for both AP and manual. Anybody have any idea how this could work.

Does anybody know how you go about copyright protecting your photos (if that's what it's called) so you would have to sell the picture or give authorization to use it.

It is set to muti-segment and the worst pictures are outside with sun and snow, and yes I've put them on the computer to look at them , I can brighten
them up on the pc but prefer to keep doing that to a bear minimum , I'll take some and upload them , not till fri.

The exposure compensator is set to 0 , the camera is brand new so I doubt it's that , I have gone though the custom settings and don't see anything that would change a picture other than the flash settings and I seem to be able to adjust this rather quickly now that I have the hang of it. I will try and reset everything to see. I wonder if when I updated the firmware in the camera with the latest version (1.02) if that could have done it , because I don't remember if I took any shots before I updated it.

When ever I set my camera to auto picture , AV or TV it takes really bad pictures they are usually so dark they don't resemble what I am seing with my eyes even remotely , If I switch to manual they become truer to what I see . The only thing I wonder is if I changed something to cause this. I don't have a problem using manual but sometimes it takes 2 or 3 test shots to dial it in and I have missed shots because of it.
Thanks

Everybody else covered just about everthing else there is but one thing I noticed when I started putting my old lenses fro my K2 onto my 110D was that
the apature would not close down , so in an effort to defeat it I found that the tang needed to be bent about 1mm to work properly . It had to be done to my pentax lenses as well as the aftermarket lenses I have and once bent they work perfect.
