Good to know that you're already practicing that. I have to admit I shared passwords for few of my online accounts. Except my working account which I have to change password regularly.

---------- Post added 05-24-23 at 01:06 AM ----------

Wow, you are extremely strict with your online activities which something I really have to take as an example. Thanks for sharing.
The email address input box located not far at the lower side of the page before you scroll it, but you are absolutely correct that it did go to haveibeenpwned website to gather the information from, ABC just visualizing the result.

The only reason why I shared here in this forum just to raise awareness of how prone we are in the internet, moreover someone (member of this forum) has his Facebook account hacked recently, and few days afterwards I received email from Facebook that someone tried the "forget password" menu on my Facebook account (absolutely not me doing that).

And literally in just couple of days my friend who worked as IT Security shared this ABC website, what a coincidence, hence my thread.

But I am glad to know at least people like you and others are more aware than me.

Cross posting this from Pentaxians facebook group.

I just want to share something that maybe many of you already aware/know, this is regarding the email address which we use as an user id for our social media accounts including this Facebook.
I received this link from my IT security friend couple of days ago, and it shocked me how many time my social media/online accounts i.e. dropbox, linkedin, including other infamous giant aussie corporations which suffered major breached not long ago, have been compromised.
Therefore, I am sharing this link here, it's from ABC News (Australian Broadcasting Corporation) so it's legit and safe, as follows: See your identity pieced together from stolen data - ABC News

The idea is, once you get the result and it says 1 or more of your online accounts (using the email address) have been compromised, please check whether that online accounts sharing the same password as your email. If yes, please change your email password immediately.
Hope you find it useful.

Thank you.

I think Matti just having fun creating that video, especially when his buddy Robin Wong (Matti is currently staying in Kuala Lumpur temporarily, same city where Robin is living) released a "Why Olympus E-PL7 is better than Ricoh GR III" video earlier.

Knowing there are 2 big groups they could capture: Pentax K-01 fans and Ricoh GR III fans, it's just matter of traffic.

Has anyone else had quality-issues with DFA*-lenses? Or am I unlucky?

I was writing my reply on my phone the other day, didn't have the chance to clarify further.
Actually when I saw your thread, I could totally relate because I just purchased D FA* 50mm F1.4 and DA* 300mm literally few weeks earlier and unfortunately both of them were not up to my expectation since I paid it as new from Ricoh/Pentax distributor in Australia hence my quick reply.

The positive side, since I bought it new from an authorized seller I have 30 days window to return it, provided I don't like or there's defect on the lens.

This is where I was at the cross road, both of those 2 lenses were amazing, I really like the pictures from those 2 lenses (when they're sharp) and actually it only has severe back focus issue.

But after all, those 2 lenses are quite expensive, they are professional level lenses and I am not expecting any new professional grade lens to have such severe back focus issue, moreover my other DA* or even D FA 100mm macro don't have such issue at all.

So ultimately, I took pictures of the serial number of those 2 lenses and returned it, hoping I will buy it again in the future (and finger cross I won't get the same serial number coming back to me).

I just returned D FA* 50mm F1.4 and DA* 300mm back to dcxpert (CR Kennedy, Australia) last week. The D FA* 50mm has great back focus issue, the in-focus range I checked via Dot Tune AF is between +3 and beyond +10, maybe a little bit beyond +10 because I can get quite sharp images when I dialed +6 or +7. The DA* 300mm is even worse in terms of back focus, the in-focus range is between +5 and wayyy beyond +10, I dialed +9 or +10 and still sometimes it slightly back focused.
I called CR Kennedy service and support, the guy over the phone told me that they can only help with the lens calibration at the end of May 2023, then I decided to return those 2 lenses.

Meanwhile my DA* 16-50mm PLM, D FA 100mm macro is perfect out of the box. My DA* 11-18mm only has a slight back focus problem, I just need to dial +3.

I also just came back to Pentax land, I left whenever K3 III was finally released with quite high price and a fixed screen. The fixed screen itself wasn't unexpected since there were pre-release videos showing a japanese photographer holding the real unit with a fixed screen, I was still hoping to see another version with tilted or flip screen but it never came, it came to market with fixed screen and steep price (at least to me).
On top of that, I also had problem lifting heavy full frame lenses from Pentax (and sigma's k mount) due to health issues, so slowly I sold my k mount (full frame) lenses one by one and only D FA 100 macro left.
At the same time I was tempted to take mirrorless path, trying many brands: sony, fuji, panasonic, leica, I didn't go for Nikon (mirrorless) or Olympus because I already tried them before Pentax, but I am not really happy with all of them except the skin color rendition of Leica CL hence I still keep it with me till now.

But, somehow every time I looked at my family photos (my missus, kids) in my NAS, the ones from Pentax always strikes me. I always like the jpeg sooc output or DCU (Digital Camera Utility) output with custom image: Bright. Not to mention how I need to be very careful every time it starts drizzling here in Melbourne, I always run into panic to keep my gears back to its shelter (read: bag), it never happened when I used Pentax gears.
That made me keep watching for Pentax K3 III prices, sometimes looking at youtube review about K3 III, check this forum once in a while, and finally pull the trigger last month, roughly 2 years after it was first released.

I recommend you to watch @KobieMC channel in Youtube, especially these 2 videos:

You Tube

and

You Tube

Also don't forget to buy this Pentax K3 III ebook, it will shorten your learning curve about the camera's menu setting: Master your Pentax K-3 Mark III with the Pentax K-3 III eBook - PentaxForums.com

My favourite lens for this Pentax K3 III is Pentax 16-50mm F2.8 PLM (not the old SDM one), it is a bit heavy but very sharp and very quick to focus. I have 22 months old baby (my second born) at home and K3 III with 16-50 PLM can keep up quite well with his active movement.

You can read the review regarding that lens in this forum, but you can check @Kobie review from this link as well:

You Tube

In summary, like almost everyone in this thread, go for K3 III.. it is a very good camera.

Recently purchased Minolta AF 20mm F2.8 and Minolta AF 28mm F2, and it just arrived yesterday.

It brings my minolta lens collection into 5 in total.

I used to have 17-35mm F3.5 G, 28-70mm F2.8 G, 80-200mm F2.8 G HS but all of them are too heavy and way too much for my 6MP CCD Konica Minolta trio (KM Alpha 7 digital, KM 7D, KM 5D).
With this small lenses, I can bring my Konica Minolta camera more frequently.

It had been a while since my last post in this forum, to be honest I have gone to multiple brands after K3 III released with a steeped price (for me).. it was a complete disappointment at that time (as well as the fixed screen).

But, last week I accidentally found my favourite ebay seller: dcxpert (online division of CR Kennedy Australia) has K3 III premium kit in silver with a great discount.
After watching several videos of it on Kobie's YouTube channel, finally I made up my mind and bought it.
It arrived yesterday.

Thanks @Kobie , I really enjoyed your YouTube's contents.

Hi all, I bought Cactus V6 II trigger and RF60X from their website (Flash and Trigger) back then in August 2020 and they shipped it quickly, their responses and communication is excellent despite HK was under lock down and demonstrations were happening at that time.

I also just bought another Cactus trigger (V6 IIs) from Adorama 2 weeks ago, it was in their stock. The reason why I switched to Adorama because the fedex shipping from USA to Australia is faster by 1 week compared to HK to Australia, and I could buy other stuffs (not related to flash) as well.

Many S5 users also praising S3 for its distinct vivid color, it is even tougher to find a S3 in good condition nowadays.
I am currently waiting for my pre-ai lenses: 35mm 1.4, 55mm 1.2 and 85mm 1.8 to return from John White in Michigan, I ordered his service to convert those 3 lenses into Ais.. can't wait to use it on S5

Finally my Fuji S5 Pro came yesterday. It is my 3rd DSLR with CCD sensor: first was Nikon D70s which I sold after 3 years, 2nd is Pentax K10d (got it last month on ebay) which I still use till now. I have acknowledged this hybrid body (Fuji sensor and image processing in Nikon body) for the past 3 years but did not pay attention much since I did not see any decent offering in the used market (means: quite low shutter actuation, excellent body condition, original battery, charger, box etc with relatively low price).

To be honest, my expectation with 2nd hand items sold by someone outside these following locations/shops: Japan, Singapore, KEH, B&H Used, Adorama Used is pretty moderate nowadays, if I saw someone (apart from those 5 locations) advert it as excellent condition I would expect it to be just good enough.. not excellent, their pictures sometimes not showing every aspect of the stuffs. I am not saying those people are lying, but their standard is obviously different compared to mine.
And my worst experience happened with the K10d I bought locally here in Australia, it came as working body and from far distance it looks clean however once I inspected closely I found corroded screw heads, the gap between built in flash and body was full of sticky dust, viewfinder was not clean due to dust on the focusing screen and the prism, stain/dust on sensor (I found this later), but yet I am still happy to lug it around and took pictures with it before the stage 4 lock-down imposed in Melbourne.

Having said all those things above, this Fuji S5 Pro seller from UK has proved me wrong, he/she adverted it as perfect condition and yes the camera came very well packed and it is in almost mint condition, here's a couple of pictures of the camera (lens is my own collection)

It made my day.

You are using Nikkor 55mm F1.2 on Pentax K-S1 with adaptist right?

I have 3 Pre-Ai Nikkor: 55mm F1.2, 35mm F1.4 and 85mm F1.8 and 2 more Ais Nikkor: 24mm F2.8, 35-70mm F3.5.
I only used the Pre-Ai on my K1 because I worry the Ais' rear mount is too protruding and it might touch K1's mirror, anyway though it fits my K1 but it is not locked properly hence i am curious about adaptist.

So, did I understand your work correctly here?

Yeah, I just saw 1 guy put fierce comments in digiDirect mega warehouse sale's FB ads, he claimed that he got the discounted price but it suddenly changed to full price at checkout and he got the screen capture of those as well.
He said want to take it to the ACCC.

I feel bad for posting this now, is there anyway to delete this thread?
