I always use WD-40 Electrical Contact Cleaner which is supposed to be just n-Hexane, IPA, and difluoroethane, rather than the generic type stuff which I understand can contain oleic or oxalic acid. So hopefully I haven't done too much harm.... Thanks for the advice though.

Many thanks, those photos were pretty much ideal.
I found that the body mounted contact for the main switch on my K-X was surprisingly dirty for such a low activation count camera. Contact cleaner applied directly with a cotton bud seems to have fixed it however.

I have recently become the owner of a little-used K-x, with a low shutter count of only 2500. The camera is just about immaculate and works perfectly well apart from a small issue with the main switch - sometimes I have to turn it back and forth two or three times before the camera will switch on. I am thinking that gaining access to the switch's contacts and applying some contact cleaner would very likely fix this minor issue.
My question is - how tricky is it to take the top off a K-x? Anything I should watch out for? Hidden fasteners, that sort of thing?
Thanks for any words of advice.
