Hi Mark,
Confused here? You said page 46 but I see no reference to locking settings there, only B,X and movie but, ok will check manual again, all sections this time.

Possible?
I did check all menus items but didn’t see anything untoward, I will check that out and see if it happens when set.
I did have it set for continuous shooting but never had them superimpose on previous shots before .
Mystery solved.
Just checked that out and you are quite right @mybeque , I must have inadvertently managed to set it.

K1ii has been great, but turned it on this morning and took a shot of a bird on the feeder using Dfa 100mm macro all on auto, viewed image and it was like a double exposure, took another shot (macro) of a sunflower and image has feeder superimposed .
Each photo I took it just stacked it on top of the previous ones?
Tried all sorts of settings but still happened the re-set K1ii to factory settings and its all fine again now!
Has anyone else had similar.
This is last 4 photos before re-set.

Yep that’s the one, arrives today .
With the old tripod it was creeping so hopefully the new one will be solid, I will remember to leave it midway when not shooting.:)

Well isn’t it what everyone does!
Moved over to FF ( from the K5 wich I still like)with the K1ii and added the 150-450mm lens, although I have quite a few DA lenses all Pentax by the way,
Loving the camera and tend to leave the big boy on it and maybe take the DA F 100mm Macro with me but as for tripod,?
It’s been a nightmare with this setup,( mind you it’s a Hakuba PH-L1 that I’ve had for app 45years)and it creeps under the weight
So it’s finally retired and brought the Manfrotto 055 4section carbon model, also ordered the Manfrotto 057 ball head with top lock quick release plate.
Now all I need to do is get used to using it:D should provide a nice solid base instead of hand shooting all the time.
Having said that, I am extremely impressed with body/ lens combo hand held with its anti shake.

FIXED!
Slackened body ring until nice and loose, gave it a good Blow through and thoroughly cleaned recess’s with alcohol.
Re tightened everything and mounted the lens, it been in use throughout the past four days and not a sign of any problems.
So relieved I don’t have to send it in for repair.
Thanks all for the help.

Thankyou, @pschlute yes just checked pin B body was in mf and switching it to af the pin is out, at least it rules that one out.
So pin C now under scrutiny.

Fixed!
Following on with my investigation as to why my 150-450mm works perfectly on the K5 but keeps loosing communication with body of my K1ii.
On the K1ii there is movement between the lens and body but on the K5 it’s a snug fit,
I gather the lens locking system on the two bodies is the same, if so then looking at these two photos there is a difference.
First photo K1ii pin B is recessed
Second photo K5 pin B is out.
From what I can see when you press the lens release button pins A and B retract allowing lens to twist off, but on the K1ii pin B stays in.
Also pin C on the K1ii is recessed a lot further than on the K5.
Any ideas?
This is second new K1ii problem not as bad as first one which I returned

Hi,
Just an update, received new K1 ii seems to work beautifully but whilst waiting for it to arrive I had been using the 150-450 lens on my K5 flawlessly for several weeks.
Decided to use the lens on the K1 ii again (as that’s what I bought it for) and heart sank when after app a week went to take a shot and everything went dead ( no af, no shutter) and blank screen, I turned it off and on again and it worked fine again.
This has happened about 4 times in the last fortnight so nowhere near as bad as before , deciding now wether I can live with it or contact Pentax.
Tried lens back on K5 and no problems at all and all other lenses work ok on the K1 ii so it is just this one combination with problems.
Will continue investigating this one ( software/ hardware, lens / camera fault) , but, the 150-450 is brilliant on the K5 as it gives me that extra focal length that I always crave for .

I still like the K5 it just feels so much lighter and smaller in the hand now.
I must have missed something o my K5 , I’ve heard others as well say it goes to iso80 mine will only go to iso100 ? So I don’t know what’s going on there!
Had it since they first came out.

So I upgraded my beloved K5 to the K1ii.
Right from out of the box it was just beautifully to hold, this camera was made for my hands!
I did struggle a bit with the vast amount of functions it has but with most things a bit of learning needed, but alas there was a fault with it ( connection pins losing contact?) so after a week of use it had to go back, “very sad moment” .
I started using my K5 again, now it seemed more like an instamatic! Haha, but since using it again I found I keep going to the menus to make various settings only to find they’ve gone, then the realisation the K5 never had those settings:hmm::confused:
I did not realise how quick I got used to the K1ii and the usefulness of the settings.
New K1 arrived the other day, it was just bliss to hold it again, ordered this one from park cameras uk, and it was over £100 cheaper so a couple of extra batteries ordered as well.:)
Basically having the K1ii for a week gave me a good insight, introduction, so I’ve had time to watch quite a few videos now on how to get the best from it, so right from unboxing this one it all felt totally familiar !
Out for a morning with the 150-450mm , sling type harness and it was just so comfortable and nice to use, definitely my type of camera:) Even for walkabouts without the sling it carries well.
:):):)
