This month, I present the shot from last year at a local historical site - Ayr Mount. The centerpiece of this site is a nearly 200y old house located in piedmont North Carolina. It looks deceptively simple. However, it was an important trading post during the time of the American revolution. The shaded driveway and tree canopy surrounding it constitute a secluded garden that serves the residential area. In spring, the garden often looks bucolic on sunny days. You may find flowering trees lasting all the season, pear blossom, cherry tree, and paulownia! They attract lots of birds and become their lodging for the season. But it changes the look in other months. The photo presented here was taken on a cloudy autumn morning. The flowing clouds, spider webs, all make the once lovely garden look spooky. I may attach more photos in the following thread. Stay tuned!

I haven't heard about A7R4 among astrophotographers. It might be ``stitched'' as well. In the past, the stepper for manufacturing the cmos sensor wasn't large enough to cover a full frame chip. This problem might have been solved or they have found a better way to calibrate the sensor. Given the fact that both gfx 50 and 100 use ``stitched'' sensors, I'm inclined to believe 645z uses one too.

They didn't. It's called digital centerfold that is quite common. Even the new gfx 100s use that technology.

As far as I remember, the photographic dynamic range is basically the same as iso 200. However, you can notice the difference in their highlight restoration. 645D seems to have less headroom for highlight. This happens in particular if you use iso 100. You can notice the less smooth transition of the brightness in a cloud if you use it in the daytime. But that's not a big issue in general. I recommend exposure bracketing so you can pick the best exposure (without using HDR).

I just got one of the peanuts 45-85/4.5. wa2kqy, I got it at 320. Your price is unbelievable! Despite some unexpected soft diffusion at the smallest aperture, it's all good! All shot at base iso 100. I find it has a higher latitude than the native one on 645d. You may be certainly used to the modern look of CMOS. The color at shadow or shoulder of highlights. At base iso, the camera handles it well.

Thank you for your suggestions! I did after receiving the camera. It took around 6 hours. I guess it still has the capacity. However, the camera drains it overnight.

Hi guys, recently I got a used 645d from a Japanese dealer. It was manufactured in late 2011. So it might have been 9 years since the previous owner bought it. The cosmetic condition is great and it comes with only 660 shutter count. At first, I was so excited. However, I found several problems with this camera.
The battery drains super fast after a full charge. I loaded the battery the night before the day when I planned a test shot. On the next morning, it couldn't be turned on. The battery was fully depleted.. I remembered the 645D is quite good on battery life. My friend's camera could easily fire up 500+ times with a single battery. Also, it's more tolerant with the cold days while my other pentax camera isn't. I checked the battery the next day. It still takes a good full half day to charge it so it's still healthy. So I really don't know if it's caused by a failure of electronic components or some other issues.
Second problem is more of a concern. The lens works fine on another camera I borrowed. I found the lens-body contacts have some issues. Sometimes the autofocus mode couldn't be activated. I could only use manual focus. Sometimes, I couldn't use the smallest aperture. I have to hold both the lens and the camera body to get a good connection. I used an isopropyl alcohol pad to clean those contacts. The issue was gone. Not sure if it'll be back.
Although I really liked this camera, I'm not sure anymore. Have anyone happened to run into any of those issues? It looks really great and has an incredibly low shutter count. Are those issues red flags so I'd better return it? Any thoughts on that?

Autumn is the golden season of the year. The camera managed to capture the tint and atmosphere. :)
