Hello Pentaxians,

I'm saving up for my wedding this year and so offloading all the digital gear I haven't been using very much. A lot of this stuff I got from other users on here, so I'm pricing them to sell and move on to the next person who needs a nice low cost camera or is interested in the look or experience of the older gear - prices and descriptions below:

K-5 - SOLD
Perfectly good user grade camera. No issues with the body cosmetically. There is apparently a mirror flapping issue when the battery is fully charged, according to the person I bought it from on PF. I never ran into it personally, but I usually charged the battery for shorter stints. I remember reading you can leave the camera on live view for a while if the battery is charged too high and the issue occurs, and that will drain it to a problem-free level more quickly. Comes with one battery, D-BC109 charger and cable.

K-30 - Unlisted
Another user-grade body which operates great besides a few quirks. On the good side, I was told by the seller on eBay that the solenoid had been replaced. I've never had any issue with dark images. On the downside, the battery latch is broken. The door holds the battery in and allows the camera to operate normally, but every once in a while, the camera will momentarily turn off and back on, I'm guessing because of this latch. Otherwise it's a great camera and comes with the AA battery pack along with one Pentax battery, two aftermarket, the D-BC90 charger, but no cable. They are common and should be easy to replace. - forgot to mention, the camera requires date and time reset when new battery is put in, just another quirk.

O-GPS1 - SOLD
This is in great shape. Bought new in 2020 and used somewhat sparingly. It does have a little gaf tape residue on it from holding an eye shutter cover thing, but I will clean it off before sending. Tested today and working normally.

16-50 2.8 AL SDM - SOLD
Bought from another member on Pentaxforums a year and half ago - works great, screwdrive only for AF, but accurate and really not that noisy in my opinion. I am not a super pixel peeper, but the images always looked really great to me out of this lens. The body is in good shape and the zoom operates normally. I believe these always had some stiff segments of the zoom range, and this copy is no different.

50-135 2.8 SDM - SOLD
Bought this refurbished from the Ricoh/Pentax outlet in 2020. It really looks brand new and the SDM works like normal. I have had a couple situations after months of disuse that the SDM took a few minutes to "wake up" as others have described, but as of today it is working normally.

If you have any questions, please ask. I am open to offers but have tried to price these fairly from the get go. Please be aware buyer will need to pay paypal fees and I will get shipping quotes for the buyer before completing the paypal transfer.

Thanks!

Thanks for passing along! I'm thinking of renting the 150-450 while the birds are still migrating through town.

Interesting! Thanks for the background. I bought a K-30 on eBay this year thinking it was pretty ugly looking, but have really come around to appreciating the look and it's ergonomics.

Was the K-30 designed in partnership with J Limited? Or are they insinuating in that first video that these designs draw from the design of the K-30?

Maybe in a situation like this a blue filter would have darkened the church and boosted up the visibility of the haze? Possibly at a cost to the foreground though... I'm a big fan of how b+w film renders hazy scenes.

I just bought a little container of pot ferri to try out for the first time - never used it before! If you've got a lot of practice with it let me know and I may PM you with some general questions.

A little extra burning on the walls of the church? The contrast range on the rocks is very nice while the contrast across the church is more restrained. The rocks brought my eyes right up to the church, so a little extra punch there would be satisfying!

It's the only lens I have besides the 18-135 (until Monday when I received an F 28mm 2.8) and I have to agree, it's a motivating lens to use.

I too still kick myself over the DA* 300

When I went I got my K5 in 2012 this was the first autofocus lens I ever owned.

Which lens are you referring to? 50-135?

That 11-18 was gone before I saw the updates :P There was probably only 1 or 2 of them available. I missed a da* 300 earlier in the year, but picked up the 50-135 refurbished and have been loving it.

I'd like to nominate the Pentax DA* 50-135 f/2.8, the second lens I've owned for the Pentax system, which is the first to make me seriously enjoy digital photography after years of only working with black and white film

Thanks for the reply dms! I see a mfd for the 10-17 on the product page but was unsure if that was constant through the range, which it sounds like is not the case. Some day if I find myself with a 10-17 and a tc I'll give it a try.
