This second version of the M 28mm has the optics of the A version and lacks the silver ring.

Ah...there it is! Never noticed that, lol. Thank you!

Yep, the M42 135/3.5 is quite popular at online second-hand store from where I live. If I remember correctly, there is a version with "(Bayonet)" marking on the lens barrel.

Whoa, never heard of that M 28mm f/2.8 have 2 versions.
Would you elaborate any further, like, tricks to differ one from the other?

Hi. This can't be really good feedback. But I feel like I want to share what I learn from experience and hearsay fromm my friends.

My friend uses all kinds of K mount 28mm lenses, Pentax (K 28/2, FA 28/2.8, Takumar 28/3.5) or 3rd party (Vivitar 28/1.9, Kiron 28/2, Laowa 28/1.2). Seriously, I never heard him complaining about focus.
You are right, focus peaking is the way. It's really fast once you are good at it.
And if you are into AF, try FA 28/2.8 or DFA 15-30 (this is the ultimate answer :)) if you are into zoom.

Personally speaking, I really don't think DFA 28-105 (maybe even the Tamron 28-75) is very comparable to A 28/2.8 for its max aperture being 3.5 and its targeting scene.

I use a 24mm/2.8 lens made by Cosina on a film body nowadays...a bit tricky when getting close focus but most time I have no issue focusing wide-open.

For 28mm I have the S-M-C Takumar 28/3.5 which is not really usable on K mount film body because you have to do stop-down focus/metering and the OVF gets really dim.
So I ordered the Konica Genba Kantoku AF ONLY p&s film camera, which has a 28/3.5 lens. It don't allow adjusting aperture, shutter speed whatsoever.

Thank you. I suspect that's the cause too but it shouldn't have such colorful display. 😂
I'll tell him to try switching off.

These days I often grab one or two lenses with me and go out shooting. Rarely need a backpack whatsoever.

So it sure matters to me. One solid reason I sold the SMC 135mm/2.5 is the weight and size. Haha, many would argue 500 g is nothing I know maybe I am just spoiled by those f 2, f 2.8 lenses that I mostly use as f 5.6, f 8.

They mean when you compose the picture. For that I think I'll just rotate my camera by 90 degrees and that's all, like what I do with any 35mm cameras?

I am with ya. I never had the chance to use a half frame, though. I love horizontal composition rather than vertical. Most time portrait just feels too "limited" to me and I want to bring more environment in to the frame.

From the 2 pics TKO flipped, I am guessing it'll come with a 35mm/28mm lens. I hope it be a 28mm like your Pen F for the same reason that I want more environment involved.

One thing I'm not sure if it's applicable to worldwide is that labs usually charge more to scan a half frame film roll.

Finally tried out the Harman Phoenix 200...I suggest rate it at 125 or 100 ISO. Below are some of my fav shots @ 160 ISO, almost all edited (+EV).

Finally the film project has its own position for promotion and storytelling. That's it, nothing new, really.

But it's a sign that hopefully we can see something substantive in the next month or two?
