Does anyone knows if Eric is working at the moment? I have an MX I'd like to send him. Just sent an e-mail but I'm not sure if he answers it.
In his page he says that I have to send the camera with a note, e-mail and that's it.
Any clues?

Yes indeed. I really love the MX and I feel it's the perfect all mechanical SLR I could take to the zombie apocalypse with me. Lovely viewfinder, size and weight for my skinny long fingers, it feels so "right" with M primes and I finally found one in "decent" shape, it works but it has some flaws bc yeah it's an old camera. This is why sadly I end up taking out my plastic P30t instead of my MX.
I'll keep it and I'll send it to CLA, just need to figure where to send it. (I just sent an e-mail to Eric)

Hey all. (:
Half-circles of the spit screen doesn't match completely (say about 97%) after for example: focusing to infinity. I tried different lenses on my MX and P30t.
P30 split screen match 100% and my MX doesn't. Any clue? Is this normal?
Another problems I found on the MX is battery drain, and the lock lever doesn't work at all.
I'm thinking on giving it for a CLA anyways. Anybody knows a good place in Berlin or Europe if not Berlin?

Hey everyone, thanks for your time.
I recently acquired an MX, the camera is in good working condition and I already shot 3 rolls after I bought it a week ago.
Now after loading it with the 4th roll, the "lock lever" won't lock the shutter button. It started failing sometimes today and now it doesn't lock at all, also the "shutter button" remains pressed if I don't move the lever to the "unlock" position (it's a feature for long exposure of the MX, that feature works, the thing is that the shutter went pressed with the "lock lever" in lock possition).
I already lost like 4 exposures bc of this. I googled it and didn't found about this problem on the MX in particular...
Any clues?

Hey club. After my K-3 died about a month ago I got back to film with my lovely pristine P30t, after a dozen of b&w rolls I started developing and now I need to digitalize and I’ve always did it myself with an dSLR (did it before with an old Kx with nice results).
I love film, I love grain, I love being limited to a certain ISO sensitivity and the slow pace of composing and shooting on film.
No money for expensive bodies (I’ve already had the K-3, most of the time overwhelmed by it’s numbers, coming from film, why’d I’d need 51200 iso? Why’d I need live view with a modern smartphone in my pocket? Video recording? Too many features. Yeah, overwhelmed.
I found a exc+++ k-10d body with strap, original charger and one battery. No info about the shutter count but the body doesn’t have any abrasion marks.
No need for the kit lens since I own the 18-55wr from my K-3 and also the 16-85wr (this one have a focusing engine inside the lens) anyone even tried this lens on a k10d?
Oh and my 40mm f2.8 limited I’m excited to try this on my new CCD sensor body.
So I’m pretty exited to get her and I wanted to share this with you.

How did it happen?
I woke up in the morning here at my country (Chile). Living in the sea coast for a while, some birds where crawling on the roof of my barn, got up and went for my K-3 with the 16-85 WR, both original batteries completely charged from last night photo session. Went out and tried to turn it on without succes. I asked to myself how this battery completely charged died in one night so I tried the another one and didn't turned on either. Tried to charge both batteries but they were completely full. Tried to obvious like opening, closing SD card, read all pages of this Thread and no luck. It's being a week and the camera doesn't want to turn on or make anything. R.I.P K-3, you died on me in the middle of my spiritual retirement far from the city and I can't spend money in a new one at the moment. It's time for both the 35mm I have (Super program and P-30). A shame I have the 40mm limited and 16-85 without aperture rings.
