Thank you all for the warm welcomes.
My K-1 and 24-70 have both now arrived. I'll try and get out with them over the weekend and put together my initial thoughts Vs my Olympus and Nikon stuff. Will be a learning curve as I've never actually had a DSLR!

Hi everyone
I've decided to join the club after reviewing the gear I have and my photographic interests. I invested into (and have accumulated quite a bit of) Micro Four Thirds gear. At the time I was getting into photography I wasn't really sure what my interests were, but, it turns out, the only genre I really care for is landscape and cityscape. I live in Scotland and hope to get out and about more this year.
My Olympus kit is great in terms of its direct controls, rugged build and top-notch weather sealing, but I've become increasingly frustrated by its poor performance when doing long exposures (2+ minutes) and the lenses are typically best at f4-f5.6, which isn't narrow enough to get the exposure times I'm after with a 10 stop filter.
I had a go of a Nikon Z6 and enjoyed the output, but not so much the controls and the cost of XQD cards. I got a Zeiss 18mm Milvus lens to go with it, which I absolutely love.
I've just snagged a K-1 for £600 and plan on getting the 24-70 to start. If all goes well I plan on Leitax adapting the Zeiss lens, and adding either the 70-200 or 70-210 (views on both appreciated!).
Look forward to getting my K-1 and fingers crossed I'll get on well with it.
Thanks
Chris

Thanks for posting. As someone who lives in Scotland and is thinking of a switch from a mirrorless system to Pentax for landscape photography and who values the user experience as well as just the end results, I thought your insights were useful.

As an Edinburgher who has been considering jumping on the Pentax bus for a while I'm now not sure if I'd be welcome here!
You do live in a beautiful part of the world though :)
