Hi guys,
I only joined yesterday and this is my first post. I am an English guy that has lived in Belgium for over 20 years. In England, I had a wet darkroom but since I retired over here we live smaller and there is no room for that anymore. That is the main reason the camera together with my beloved Pentax K mount 90mm 2.8 walk around lens had to go, along with the all the vinyl records (Anybody remember The Tears of my Tracks)? Digital has eliminated the need for a darkroom so I was able to revive my old hobby. Now I shoot with a Fuji XT-2. Apart from the superb Fuji 18-55 Kit lens, all my other lenses are vintage including four TAK's (SMC 35/3.5 – ST 55/1.8 – ST 135/3.5 – SMC 200/4) so that is my reason for being here. All the vintage lenses came from photography shows. I prefer this method to say eBay because you can test the aperture for stickiness, shine a pocket torch through the lens and most importantly, run a few shots off with the lens on the camera as well as chatting with the stallholder and maybe getting a better deal. All the summer shows have been virused for this year and start again at the end of September so it may be interesting to see if I can pick up an older screw mount FF Pentax. We shall see.
