What focus settings are you guys using? I try to shoot racecars and af-c has been inconsistent for me. I have seen that people shoot with afs and the af button at the back of the camera. Is it a common practice?

I own the k-1 and the DFA* 70-200, it is defenitely possible handholding it. I also think the Battery grip on the K-1 helps balancing the weight.
Personally im using a Blackrapid strap with it, that helps while not actively shooting.
It is heavy and when u plan an using it for extended periods i would recommend a tripod / monopod.

Thank you for All the replies, i will look further into it. I think at the time i Was using some cheap 3rd Party battery so im guessing it has something to do with that.

Hello,
I recently went out shooting with the irix 15mm and my K-1. I was shooting 3 brackated exposures, when in the middle of 3 exposures the camera locked up. Im not sure what caused it. It went away after i removed the battery grip and the battery inside the camera. The camera has a shutter cout of around 10k.
Any ideas what could have caused such behaviour?

Im not sure if im understanding correctly but i can digitally zoom in live view by simply clicking the ok button and using the rear dial as you have described.

Propably Offtopic, but i sometimes use the Wifi to copy RAWs (DNG) to my Android Phone, that takes around 5-6 Minutes, i know thats a lot of data but is there any tweaking i could do to improve the time?

Hi,
im Leon, 23yo. located in Germany. Started taking pictures with my K-r, continued with a K-5 wich belongs to my dad. Last December i made the step an purchased a K-1 2nd Hand.
Currently i own the 18-105 Kit, smc fa 50mm f1.4, smc fa 35mm f2, sometimes i can use the DA* 300mm f4.
I really like the astrotracer function on the k-1, but doing different kinds of photography.
Liking the Lens section in this forum very much.
