Really nice shot Rob. The detail is really good and flowers bring some color into it.

Nice shot, sharp and a good pose. I've sat in the kayak and watched them fish. It's kind of entertaining.

I think it came out really nice handheld. Mike is right, the light was just about perfect for the shot.

Odd, there was another post by Robust that they had taken at slower shutter speed asking about sharpness with this setup that's gone now. You absolutely nailed it and I wouldn't have commented except the other user asked!

It's still a really nice shot of a really cool bird. I use the same camera and lens and have learned to get the most out of the 150-450 the answer is shutter speed. I try to never go below 1/1600 if at all possible and target either 1/2000 or 1/3200. I know if I go down to even 1/1000, I'll see a decrease in quality. I pretty much always hand hold it. If I am on a monopod, I can go a little slower.

Really nice shots. Really like the second one. Might have to make a trip down to the breeding area in southern Arizona to see them.

Really nice series. I agree the wood ducks are some of the most beautiful ducks. Really like the 4th one.
