I am a new guy to using a Pentax, usually use an Olympus M4/3 MK10 II camera.

Then I spotted a Pentax K100D Super for sale locally in Mint condition. Only $150 Canadian. Came with 3 lenses, a flash , remotes and a whole bunch of other goodies.
Just couldn't resist. Did read the reviews and was well aware of it having only 6 megapixels, no flip screen or live view on the LCD. I did look at many great pictures taken with it.
Have to admit, the first time I picked up the K100 it felt really comfortable in my hands. Control buttons were in a natural spot for me and a simple menu system.
Without even having a manual, navigation of the menu system was easy as well as taking pictures.
Spent a number of hours bench testing outside on the balcony, just to see what it can do with the 18-55mm lens. This camera is fun to use. I like it.
Today did a lot more bench testing out on the balcony with the 50-200 and 100-300 lens.
I am impressed overall with the pictures taken. I usually shoot jpg files and started shooting a lot with the K100D in raw and doing a fast edit.
I will be posting some in the 6 Megapixel Club thread.

The BNSF (Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway) has large storage facility for diesel locomotives in Galveston, Texas. The storage yard must have close to 150 locomotives. This past week I put on my safety vest on and wandered around the yard. This is a 7-image pano at one set of tracks, showing the engines lined up with somewhere between 10 and 15 on each track.

Great news, I'll have to have a look at unpacking the download again. I managed to download GIMP photo editing sofware fine.
Hope the new SDHC works fine for you.

Am supposed to be doing a uni assignment but migraines and distractions aren't helping.

IMGP1564 (3) by Jane English, For a standard kit lens, and manual focus practice, am pleased with this macro shot this morning.
