When I shot film back in the 70's,N 80's the 135 was my favorite lens, now back into photography after 50 years away I have the K70 with a few lenses and my favorite walk around lens is the Pentax 18/135 lens!
Enjoy your choice! IMGP0014-01-1 | SharkyCA | Flickr

Lots of support for a bag. Until you have accessories when do you use it? I put a lens on my camera and put the strap over my shoulder. Where does the bag go?
I have 4 camera bags and they store my accessories, not my camera.

Welcome to the forums!
I live in Hong Kong and enjoy travel photography and macro (especially insects and spiders). I quite enjoy street photography as well and I look forward to seeing some of yours. Hong Kong is a great place for street photography but I'm not very good at it or very comfortable taking photos of strangers...

Hey, my name is Joenel Dragos and I am a photographer based in Bucharest, Romania.
I like to experiment with vintage lenses, proud owner of the 2 "Bouquet" lenses: Carl Zeiss Ultron 50mm f/1,8 and Weltblick (Porst) 135mm f/1,8.
Cat owner, I am in portraiture mostly and street photography, I am curious about you guys, what is your most "Bouquet" lens you own and what kind of photography you do/like?

Couple of shots from the garden with the K-70 + PLM and Sigma 100-300mm F4 (2nd version)
No PP at all - just heavy cropping because the cherry tree is about 17m away in the neighbours' garden, and the robin was about 4-5m away and waiting to take the food to the chicks in the nest about 3-4m to my right.
Original shots are sharper but these have been downsized to be acceptable for the forum thread

Recently got a K-70 to upgrade from my k-50 and had a chance to test it under the stars. While I was preparing to shoot deepsky with my K-5 I let the star stream do its thing. Wow never has a tme lapse movie been so easy to shoot. Just needed to adjust the exposure settings before lauching it. The clip is composed of 200 shots of 15 s iso 800 with a 16 mm lens. This is a copy made with Windows photo which for some reason decided to pause for 5 s in the middle of it! I think you'll need to click to get to my flickr account to see the clip. |

Well, I did it - as a long term Nikon manual focus (FM3a / FM2N plus AIS/AI lenses) and Digital user (D3400) I had a bit of spare cash recently and got my hands on a really nice fully working Pentax KX film camera at a snip off eBay, complete with the 50mm 1.7 lens..
This my second KX - I sold my other around 2010 because running two systems was a bit much at the time and austerity beckoned. Prior to that, I'd had other Pentaxes - an autofocus MZ5n with 28mm 2.8/35mm 2.0/50mm 1.4 /28-70mm f4 lenses plus 135mm M 3.5, an A50mm 1.4 and 70-210mm f4 zoom. I've also had the MZ-M, ME Super and MX. I look forward to sharing my experiences on the forum.
Getting my new/old KX brought back lots of memories - I took some great pictures of my kids when they were younger on the Pentax KX using B&W film in the early 2000's. So I'm just reliving the pleasure I had in using this system again. I'm augmenting the 50mm 1.7 with a K 35mm 3.5 and I'm also looking at another 1.4 lens (including a Revuenon MC 1.4 as well as a an A 50mm 1.4) but I will go no further. I might very well sell the 50mm 1.7.
My goal with be to make good images on B&W, well exposed and interesting - as I make the most of what is left of my eyesight before I get really old and to enjoy the 'authorative' clunk of the KX shutter once more.

Here is a stab at posting a photo. Taken with a Pentax K100D which I just purchased from eBay. |
