I just want a sensor as nice (or better than the KX sensor) and a 250 (or more) sync speed.
come on, pentax... 180 sync?!?!?! I hope you guys are reading this.... I'm telling you, a lot of Pentax strobist shooters will be happy with a 250 sync in the new body...

for the type of shooting that i enjoy, it would be a no-brainer - the K7 would be the obvious pick.
but it would be kool if you could exclusively use a K-X for Pentax ltd primes ONLY =P

im really really really happy with my 10-17 DA fisheye
its super sharp, its nice and small plus at the long end its a great wide angle.
on the short end its fishy as fishy can be.
just be careful, for you cant put filters to protect the lens outer element.

I got my 50 - 135 for 749USD on amazon (thank god! received it on June 11, 2009) I think that is a real good deal... upon reading this thread, i checked out the pricing on some other websites, and holy mack! the prices are too high
I was in London last May and I remeber almost buying it at the London Camera Exchange for around 560GBP... and now its almost double the price... this is bad bad news for people like me who save up hard earned money to buy good glass.
PENTAX what is wrong?!?! I feel greatful that I was still able to get at a cheaper price, but really, this can not prolong!
I've been bragging to all my canon and nikon friends, that their lenses can not beat the value pentax brings with their "pro-line glass"
Look who is laughing now? =(

well, i really think the price of the FA 50mm f1.4 is really reasonable. Brand new ones go for like $200 USD (average) If you can find second hand ones, I'm sure it will be cheaper, but really... the brand new price is worth every penny...

Insane!!! Most of the dust particles are gone with the rocket blower, but I still have one big spot that won't go away.... but this practice is just so crazy... I might just try it.
If i don't get my hands on an arctic butterfly looks like ill have to look for some magic tape 810
thanks for the insane tip!

no way am i touching my sensor... too paranoid i might just scratch it.
is there a proper way?
if there is a previous thread bout this, kindly show me the way =)
thanks!

i scored the DA* 16 - 50 last month, now i am saving up for it's big brother the 50 - 135 DA*
the reviews are good, and i think it would be ideal for nice portraits...
da* 50 - 135 users: is it really that good?

Hi Charlie,
Just read this post now...
my first 16 - 50 stopped AF-ing 1 week after i got it... The shop replaced it in 1 week, and my second copy is just awesome!
i know there have been billions of issues with the DA* 16 - 50 - but really... if you get a good copy it's really a good "real world" lens. its not a perfect lens, but so far it's been serving its purpose!
so the biggest dissapointment was the first faulty 16 - 50
happy new year!

i own the 10 - 17 fisheye, and so far its the lens that gives me the biggest smiles both from me and my subjects...
i havent seen the other fisheye lenses from other brands, but my friend owns the tokina fisheye which is pretty good too!
i really reccomend the pentax 10-17 just because its so much fun to use
