Pentax EI-2000 (HP Photosmart 912) - max. CF card capacity supported?

Today I got two used 512mb CF cards for little money and both seem to work perfectly. So that's great!

I don't have a 1gb card available to try. I'll have to postpone this until I stumble over one at some point.
And it seems 2gb (and higher?) doesn't work in general (the card I have seems to be ok, when I put it into my card reader, but the camera refuses to format it).

I really like this thread. I own a Q-S1 and I will have to play around a bit with some lenses. So far I only made a quick try with the Pentax FA 80-320, but with a cheap adapter without tripod thread, which forced me to use the tripod thread of the camera. Not a very stable setup. And I found it very difficult to manually focus the moon. I'll have to try again with a new adapter and read through this thread for more ideas.

Wild rumour/wish fulfillment fantasy about new Pentax film camera?????

A new Pentax Body for Film? Why not? Nikon sold the F6 until at least 2020.
At the same time, there are tons of used ones out there, still working, for very little money, if you are patient. Tough competition.

Chinon/Revuenon Autofocus 50mm 1.7 - AF for any K-mount?

Hi there, I know this is an old thread, but look what I just recently fished out of the bay :) (and I don't think these are very common!)

It's the Revuenon Version.

It is not in great shape, but AF still works ok and the lens and aperture blades seem perfectly fine.

It takes three AAA batteries. I'll give it a closer look, soon.

Hi, that's a generous offer, thanks, but I'm located in Germany. So shipment cost would be way too high.
I'll have to update my profile urgently

Thanks a lot for all the quick replies!
One of the reasons why I'm asking is actually because of the TIFF option. I read this would create ~ 7MB files! so a 8 or 16 MB card would be quite useless.
I'll see if I can get some medium size CF cards or SD cards for use with my adapter and find out by trial and error. :hmm:

Hi all,

I do have quite a special question as mentioned in the thread title. Does anybody happen to know the answer:
What's the max. compact flash card capacity supported by the Pentax EI-2000?

I already did some research, but so far I only know up to 128 MB seems to work (according to a post in this forum). What about higher capacities? I have tried a 2GB CF card and several SD cards with a CF adapter, but with at least 512MB. So is this too big? or does the camera have an issue with the adapter?
I also found that microdrives don't work.

I'm excited to see if anyone can provide some help for this digital oldie

Thanks
Matthias
