Not a single IIs arrived to Turkey yet through the AD, Pentax marketing simply sucks here.

Most DA lenses won't work on APS-H either, or should I say like, "bigger is better, case is closed, next!"

I asked the same question here before and the get the answer like, D800E is expensive because it has two AA filters instead of one in D800, K-5IIs is expensive because Pentax gets sensors with AA filters from Sony and removes AA filters then puts into the IIs, I've been told, thats why .

End of the DSLR era was already started and after Pentax lost lotsa potential FF users to other camps, Pentax still will be making an FF DSLR, . Incoming FF better be good, I mean real good like K10 on it's era, or Pentax will loose reputation. Speaking for myself I am waiting for an FF for a long time, FF lens line-up is ready for more than a year but I won't purchase a mediocre FF for sure.

With or without AA filter any camera can produce moire, and IMO your case is not moire.

I had all versions of 1kit 8-55's except DA-L, all brand new, where AL-I was the best, the AL-WR was the worst, kinda weird and maybe my copies I don't know, but just for your information.

Yeah I've mistyped newest is v 7 and yes it is for leaving on the debug mode permanently, with just one button on pk-tether by connecting the camera by an USB connection just like you are downloading files. Instead of, creating a debug file, writing to card, leave the card door open, reboot it when pressing menu button yada yada (see below links) ... Now when you leave the camera on debug mode, all you have to do is remember BF/FF value of each lens, and change it whenever to change the lens (if needed), you are covered. https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/pentax-dslr-discussion/75223-k200d-autofo...ne-tuning.html https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/pentax-dslr-discussion/35765-how-access-d...ntax-k200.html
PS. This is kind of OT, I was thinking to send this information to you with PM, but I thought some K200D owners might need this info also. Hope nobody minds

No, not firmware, it's a tethering program for full controlling camera from a PC, just checked current version is 6.5 but I don't know if you can leave the camera "debug mode on" with this version, you might wanna give it a try, if it doesn't the version I was talking about was 6.1, download page is at: Downloads | PK_Tether
Bests.

That shouldn't be a big problem since, thanks to pk-tether program leaves you in the debug mode until you press "exit the debug mode" when running the pk-tether, you don't have to write a debug file onto memory card and reboot camera then delete etc. mess is not needed anymore with pk-tether., Only problem is K200D can not remember the value of FF/BF value, you should remember the value for each lens and change the value whenever change the lens, this would slow down lens changing a bit of course, but if you get use to it with the FF/BFmenu, that won't be a big problem I believe.
If newer versions of pk-tether won't leave your K200 in the debug mode I can send you my version, BTW leaving the camera in the debug mode doesn't change anything other than a "debug mode" text appears on the screen constantly.
...
Happy new year to all.

I say don't bother with the moire correction , just use the F4 version, moire in that sample is so smooth and straight distributed, almost anybody can buy it as a wall paint, or just select the area and decease the color saturation in PS, that'll do.

I always thought moire is a mostly exaggerated problem in the DSRL world, now we got IIs and moire issue is always a concern, now in several threads I would like to know if I am right and wrong, IIs users increasing, so as D800E users, so would you please post here your pictures suffered with moire, only this way we'll know there is such an issue.
Pictures with moire which is created unintentionaly will be more logical because you can produce moire with any camera if you force them. If RAW files can be uploaded when requested somewhere that'll be more useful so we can personally analyze and test the issue with different software's we have.

I guess I know the solution, :) Just attach a small part of it in front of your lens. If you want more techno solution use a blur filter or a crappy lens, seriously wouldn't it work? Wish someone with K-IIs have it tested this, or I will do it in the future anyway. |

How in the earth a wildlife shot might produce moire? The only wildlife scene I can imagine is a huge zebra flock taken from a great distance. Any more ideas or samples?

Thanks to old studio TV cameras which AA filters are inherited from, I am so glad "Moire Paranoid" era has come to an end finally. Better life's, happy faces on the human kind, phew.
Fashion photographers can keep getting their cameras with thick AA filters.

1-Best APS-C camera around is obsolete.
2-14 bit best APS-C is superceded by a, same sensor but 12 bit simpler camera.
I am really curious about the logic behind these comments.
