You'll find plenty of love for vintage lenses and Takumars here! If you like YouTube stuff, check out Simon's Utak, he has some nice videos and reviews. The 200mm f/3.5 is a particular favourite.
For my part, I'd also recommend the 35mm f/3.5 as a very cheap option. It's not fast or fancy but it's tiny, very sharp and has great rendering. I prefer the 55mm lenses over the 50mm but each has many fans. Have a look at the lens review section if you're looking for ideas and have a little money to spend, or the Takumar club for some inspiration. https://www.pentaxforums.com/lensreviews/ https://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/122-lens-clubs/31601-takumar-club.html |

Good luck with your new channel! I just had a peep. I use various SMC legacy lenses on my K-70, my two favourites being the 50mm f/1.7 and the 100mm M Macro f/4.

welcome to the forums
you will find friendly members and a lot of knowledge here
I recommend that you go to the " lenses " section above and look at the " owners' reviews ' you find when you click on the name of a lens: Quote: Description:
The Takumar 50mm F1.4 is a fast normal lens produced in two "Super" versions as well as two versions with Super-Multi-Coating.
Some Super-Multi-Coated lenses with product code 37902 are labelled "Multi-Coated Super-Takumar", see the fourth photo above. Thanks to user chazthebiker for bringing this variant to our attention.
The first "Super" version (introduced 1964) has 8 lens elements (listed separately). All subsequent versions (including K, M, F and FA K-mount versions) have 7 elements.
The 7 element Takumars have the infrared focusing mark to the left of the numeral '4' on the DOF scale. The 8 element version has the mark to the right. Thanks to Laurentiu Cristofor for pointing this out.
Average User Rating 9.38 Read more at: https://www.pentaxforums.com/lensreviews/SMC-S-M-C-Super-Takumar-50mm-F1.4.html#ixzz6ezLt8zvA |
