Wow, a piece of American history that should be taught to their own people....nothing I'd be too proud about.

But I'm a Canadian and we haven't had the most stellar history either.....

The last time I posted my two cents worth i started some sort of 'flame war' regarding evolution, my apologies if my attempt at humour insulted anyone.

It it my opinion that the constant bickering between various groups shows that the message has become lost and that 'blind' obedience to ritual and dogma is more more important than the message. I have the opinion that 'religion is simply politics in the name of God' and that the message has become secondary or is simply forgotten. We spend more time looking for someone to blame instead of trying to understand the reason for the differences between groups and individuals, and use those differences to ostracize, isolate and attack.

Just had to add my two cents worth; if I had a copy of the 'Bible' it would be Darwin's 'Origin of Species'.......

Truthfully, my opinion on religion is that it is Politics in the Name of God. I think too many people use and abuse God to justify their own ends and the original message has been lost to most. :(

But so long as we can agree to disagree, then maybe there can be a chance at a decent compromise....well, I can hope........

Super Program Longevity

Hello:

I have three (one purchased back in the mid '80s) and they all still are going strong. If a LCD segment of the display fails you usually will have most if it still working. Could make for an interesting time trying to interpret what is being displayed, but unless you expose the camera to extreme temperatures (too high or too low, but I can't tell you offhand what they are) the LCD will continue to work. That and allowing the camera to suffer a serious physical shock. :(

One note I will mention is this, if your entire display is fading, replace the batteries. The camera will still work for a while but dimming LCD displays is a good indicator it's time to get new ones. Don't wait til the display starts flashing 'ooo" at you. :)

I hope this helps.

Problem with Super Program

My experience with the SuperProgram is that when the batteries start getting weak, swap them out for fresh ones. Saves you a lot of hassle and grief. It's the one real drawback of this model. :(

Otherwise I like it alot. :)

Hello everybody:

Just dropping a line to say 'Hi'. My name is Ed and I'm from out west in Canada. :)

FYI, I'm still shooting film, digital is still our of reach for now, and I'm still holding out hope that Pentax will eventually develop a FF digital body.....:D

I also visit a couple of other photo sites, mostly for info and points of view, as well as to view the works of people much better at photography than myself.

I look forward to seeing hearing what other people will have to say and show.

Ed
