About 20-30' up in the tree in her yellow silk. Invasive to the USA, proliferating out of GA. The suspicion per GA Tech is they hitchhiked here from Asia, likely Japan. Harmless. Eats stink bugs.

She found the only part of the floor that had sun on it and plopped on down. There's a reason that even at almost 3y/o she's still called "Sun Puppy."

Wanted to play briefly with my macro lens since I've barely touched my camera recently. Took this on the windshield of our car in late Dec when North America got beat up with that arctic front.

I *think* this is a Red-Shouldered Hawk. Our small cul-de-sac sees a lot of raptor action.

Just got some gear for my birthday. Part of which was the D-FA 100mm f/2.8 WR Macro. As a newb, of course i had to give it a spin. Below are the first results. The closer images were cropped to that from original pic.

I echo this. It's personal taste, but my brain seems to center on the yellow first and that's where the individuality comes in. I'd center on the person vs average of the person+reflection for example. That aside, I like the shot and jealous of the location access :)

This guy came and allowed me to get fairly close without moving... about 20' away or so. I should have closed the aperture down a little bit, but got lost in the moment b/c i thought he was going to fly away any second.

My wife is a sfx makeup artist, the chances of that being a horror movie are high lolol (i think either Dexter or Chucky series was on :p )

Didn't want to keep exporting. I **think** i know what you mean by first ply, at least i picked first ply from the left. Is this closer to what you were referring to? The previous crop was too tight for me also.

2K test on my Pentax. Music is me goofing off and looped.

577 images ran through LRTimelapse and Lightroom. Edited in Adobe Premiere Pro. Mostly just a test. It's a little late in the season for all of them to bloom. They bloom and close daily.

Basically took the 3 shots as mentioned.

Layer 1 (bottom layer) - standard greyscale image
Layer 2 (middle layer) - color transfer mode. upped saturation and vibrance to overdo the color (as seen in the pic)
Layer 3 (top layer) - highlights made to pop and crush everything else. pic is at 100% opacity, but in the final image it's set to 23%

My first attempt doing this with a Pentax (i've recently switched from Nikon crop-sensor). This is 3 shots of a burst, each edited differently to make various characteristics pop and then each stacked as an individual layer with its own transfer mode for the final image seen here.

We have a new puppy. All-black mini-dachshund. Our old man is also a mini. Decided to take a family trip for the weekend up to the mountains. I spent more time with people and dog interacting than taking pics (for once lol), but kinda dig these two. I know the nose is only thing in focus, but there's a charm i captured in that pic we really love.
