The seller mentioned that he was selling the camera on behalf of a "charity" but did not elaborate on that

When it arrived it had a business (not a charity) postage franked label, prior to that he sent a msg saying that it had been posted the day before & that there was no charger in the box but when it came yesterday in the box there was 2 battery's, a 2x tele lens, nice Pentax strap & a couple of lens hoods
His other items for sale were mostly photographic

The camera is of course useless without a charger but I'm still comfortable with the price paid including buying a charger if that's the way it has to be

I will be asking for a partial refund to cover the cost of a charger, but if I find it is a real charity I won't push for a refund

The camera does work by the way & I would be hard pushed to find a better 15yr old digi camera

Hi

I can block either all of the web site, a page or a specific element

The filters I have are tracking, social media tracking, cookies & push notifications

Acceptable ads & 3rd party tracking blocking

There's quite a few "custom" options available also which I could use to drill down to the code that is triggering the ad block I imagine but it's easy enough to whitelist if needed for this forum

I'm using Adblock + 3.11.2

No I was looking at other peoples posts also

For example on standard "Pro Boards" forums you can indeed like your own post & delete that by repeating the like

This the first time I've come across an ad blocker taking objection to a "like" facility, must be the way the forum is set up

I've had to turn back on the Adblock, there's 37 "spammy" msg's in my inbox this morning as opposed to normally 3 or 4

Amazon UK normally does allow free return shipping unless you tell them that you have just "changed your mind"

There's a gen Pentax one on fleabay UK (£19GBR) that I ordered as well but these are typically taking around 6 days to arrive, the one from Amazon will be here tomorrow so plenty of time to make my mind up as I do have a couple of devices that use "block" battery's.

The K10D body has arrived from fleabay & came with a lens & 2 batteries but no charger

This is to be used with my old M42 lenses

The K10D is in ex condition, boxed with manuals, strap & 2 lens hood's.
Bought really cheaply from some sort of charity organisation

My question is, without any power (batteries are "flat") are there any tests I can do to see if it is not a write off ?
Looking through the viewfinder is OK as I would have expected

Easy enough to buy a charger (around £20 GBR) but then the batteries could be dud , so you buy a replacement battery another £20 & your cheap camera is starting to get expensive

Camera can be sent back FOC, but more difficult with charger/battery having to pay return P&P.

I've turned off the Adblock & the "thumbs" sign has appeared, that's a new one on me

I've made an exception for the forum so will wait a bit to see what sort of ad's come through (if any)

I see what you see without the "thumbs up" next to the warning triangle & this is the same on all of the posts I look at.

I'll look again at my profile & see if there's any reference there to "newbies" posting rights

I have now noticed that in the "my activity" drop down menu the "liked posts" is greyed out...... looks like that could be the problem ?
