Hi,
I've been informed that DeepPrimeXD behaviour for K3iii files will be patched in July.
Maybe Adobe will sort it out someday too.;)

Sure. The bad one was 3300355 and the good one is 3301437.
I've also had one from Amazon Warehouse Deal but it was straight up broken-literally some loose parts flying inside .:)

I've had my K3iii behave like this twice with 20-40 Limited attached. It stopped focusing and the shutter wasn't working even tho I have AF set for shutter priority. First time it was after waking camera up from standby. Seconds was between shots, just single shots, not a series. After turning camera off the memory light was blinking for couple of seconds like it was clearing buffer but it shouldn't have any photos to write. I checked the lens contacts, battery, did a factory reset between first and second issue, still have no idea what could it be but I'm not very happy to hear that it can happen more frequently.

Oh crap, it worked!
I've attached my 50-135 wchich was getting slow, played with it in live wiev and the AF is now quite a bit faster!
I've also tried my screwdrive 16-50(after loading original rom) and after 15 minutes SDM is working again, will have to check again later if its focusing correctly tho as I converted it because it was getting slow and was often not working and not locking focus.

16-85 hands down.
I don't see any real difference in rendering between it and 20-40 Ltd.;)
That being said the 18-135 is a good kit lens, but 16-85 is the best.:)

Didn't work so good after all.:P
While the lens did start to focus correctly it seems it works from focal around 25mm and up.
On wide end only the central points are accurate.
I checked it on KP and it's more or less the same. Also checked with older DA*16-50 and it focuses without any problems.
So I'm sending it to repair service after all.:P

Yes it does.
Maybe live view focusing resetted focusing group in some way?
Don't know.
But I tested the lens and it works.
Focus is fast, correct and decisive, with the exception of wide end when using outer AF points on a small target.
So moral of the story is - try live view before sending in RMA.;)

Played around with it a little more and autofocus behaves way better.
I don't know what switching to live view did but your tip was good.:D

I had similar problem. I checked the lens once I got it and it was fine, but I did it using central AF point only.
Today I was doing a portraits session and noticed many of my pictures were out od focus, I had to switch to DA* 55 because 16-50 was a real mess.
Once I got home I tested the lens again and searched the forum - found this thread. My problem was pretty much the same. Fortunatly AF fine adjustment seems to have worked and now lens focuses fine with all af points.
Its weird that it focused correctly with central points but needed correction for all the rest.
Anyway I'm happy it worked out, this lens is very fast and sharp as hell, wouldn't want to return it to the store.;)

Not every pop-up can serve as a master/controller, KP and K3 can (KP only as controller), k70 cannot if I remember correctly, I'm not sure about Kr I think it can).
You set up slaves, controller sends a preflash, slaves repond with their metering flashes so camera can meter the exposure, and then cotroller sends actual triggering signal with exposure instructions for slaves. It's all done at the speed of light, obviously.;D
Works pretty well with extra care needed for portraits in dim light, it might be harder because preflash can make models start closing their eyes.;)
Edit: It actually seems that optical slave mode on Godox indeed does not support p-TTL, it's just a dummy. Well that's a bummer. :P

I'm leaning heavily toward Godox TT350 right now.
Not the smallest or the cheapest but seems to have it all and a bit some more.
Being able to add some more flashes in the future and set them up wirelessly with TT350 as a controller just seems like a fine idea.
