No, this is not the reason why I am upset with such super high prices!

You can see it is just the (flex-move) ribbon cable!
In Germany the repair costs € 250! So why should something that anyway should be repaired under warranty because it is a design-fault cost so much???

A total failure of the screen is my concern now, not just when it is flipped. I often use the KP with the screen off whilst shooting anyway, but without access to menus etc it's curtains for one of my favourite ever cameras. I'm even considering supergluing the screen flat to avoid any further unecessary flexing of the cable. K3iii users must be wondering what all the fuss is about.

There is an area south of Interstate-40 in Petrified Forest Nat'l Park where you can admire remnants of fossilized 180 million year old Pine trees. The site is easily accessible just adjacent to a parking area. Pentax K1 + DFA 28-105 mm HD lens @ 28 mm FL. |
