Hey Tanzer, you are right. just got it updated.
My lens came last week from the pentax repair lab here and they couldn't do the repair, so i'm trying to find another one in europe \ usa (shipping to europe is cheapr, but if i won't have any other choice I'll ship it to CRIS).

Hello friends,
I'm looking for a light weight tripod, around 1-1.5 kilos, which can handle my K200D with a DA* 50-135.
I also wish to have a good height of 160CM if possible.
I'll buy the tripod from Adorama or BH, so if you can recommend me for tripods from those store, it will be great.
I'll also buy a tripod head, but i don't care which type(unless it has 'panorama' feature), i guess you guys know what bests.
Thanks in advance.

Hello friends,
I'm looking forward to a new tripod. I own K200D with kit lens and DA* 50-135. I saw this tripod, which is cheap, can handle 3-4 kilos and has max. height of 1600 mm.
On the paper, it looks great for me, but I'm suspicious.
Does someone recommend this tripod ?
Thanks every one.

Hello,
I just wondered. Does the lens(which price is higher than the camera) will fit good with the K200D?
Thanks all.

yes, i agree with you.
in the near future i'll buy the DA55-300. i read it is a great lens. so then i'll have the kit lens, FA50 1.4, and the 55-300.
Looks like a perfect set for my K200D.
Thanks again Ratmagiclady

Ratmagiclady! i've learnt so much from your replay. thanks. I think too that the 50mm (which will be 76mm approx. with my k200d) will be great for me. 200$ is also great price.
when i get the lens, i'll try to find the "fuzzy wall" you talked about. i think i understood.
Thanks very much every one, i'll return with pictures.

As Igilligan said, i have budget limit, but can you link me to the 85mm f/2? (btw great shot)
Buddha, i prefer buying new lenses because of warranty issues. so i still stick with 50 mm option. I'll have to go to some shops and check the 50mm myself before i buy it.
btw, the 77mm is too expensive for me , 600+$ :((
Michaelina2 , i think only the 50+mm would be options because others lenses wouldn't fulfill the portrait part.
does the 50mm has the "artsy" thingy ?:o

Buddha thanks, I think i must try a 50mm and check if it's fine for me. if so, it will save me 150$, otherwise i'll have to save bucks for another level lens like the tamron

I cannot find the 80 / 1.4 @ bh , do you have a link Ben?
Buddha, thanks for the replay. the Tamron's price is 350$ while the pentax is 200$. I try to figure if the zoom worth the 150$. btw - does the tamron is better than the sigma 17-70 f/2.8 or the 28-70 f2/8?
Marc, thanks you too. the DA50-135 is too-much-expensive for me, and i know it is great.
I also think 50mm is too short. do you have the exact model of the 70mm?
thanks you all again.

for me, you are an expert. thank your replay ! i'll try to gather some information about that lens.
edit - i see a lot of good reviews and a great price.
but wouldn't it be better if it had a zoom?
