Well not knowing much about copyright laws etc. might make my response a little pointless - but I always think a little decency and communication would go a long way. Especially as you say it's a large news company! I'd give them a call and ask if you could at least be attributed. Maybe if you ring cursing and swearing (tempting probably) it most likely will get everyone riled and end in the same situation!
Just try and get a reasonable person on the phone and say what your problem is. Reading up and quoting laws is a slippery slope where the poor man usually slips!

Having a look in the lens review section is a start, you can also have a look at what they've sold for on here recently (in the sold section of the marketplace).
Good luck with the sales!

I agree 100% with this - although just to spite me I had a person who was a little unhappy with their disc of 40 images for an hours session and demanded she see all good or bad. Unfortunately she had a lot of sway with people who I also want to impress. Long story short, she now has a disc of 120 images of mostly cack (exc. the 40 expertly edited :D)! Felt pretty bad about the whole thing, like everyone was on the losing side... :(
So yeah. Like you said really :)

If you read the reviews in the lenses section, I don't think the FA50 is particularly sharp until f2-2.8. You tend to get sharper 'looking' shots with a thin depth of field when you have the subject a little closer. If you focus further away or at infinity @ f1.4 everything tends to look a little smeared! Could you post any examples?

Weird timing, I was looking at the same thing yesterday. As far as I can tell, it's p-ttl compatible but there's a distinct lack of reviews!

Number 1 is a little weird as said above, but I love number two (no jokes please) the swirly water makes it quite interesting. The other two I can take or leave :)

I think you'd be insane to spend a grand on the 31, when you could get the 40 & 15 For similar/less money! Simple :)
I'm not knocking the 31mm, far from it, but it's not renowned for been a bargain. It's hardly like your cheaping out with the DA's either.

I don't think it's the leap in image quality that you'll notice, more that you'll be able to capture more with autofocus and weathersealing. Admittedly there is a lot of photography that can be done without those two aspects (as you have found out), but it is nice to have those doors open to you :)

I agree on the colour, but I think it just looks a little washed out (moreless shooting into the sun). Posted two different versions, whaddya think?! :)
Thanks for feedback!

PentaxForums.com Marketplace Listing Item for Sale
Tokina AT-X Pro 20-35mm f2.8 Asking Price
$350 or £215 Item Location
West Yorkshire (UK) Item Description
This is a great lens which I'm reluctantly letting go to fund my new DA* 55 :( It's fast, heavy and built like something...very well built. It's also full frame - so on film (or the elusive digital FF...) it turns into a fast ultra wide zoom.
I've got some nice pics, but just didn't use it enough to warrant keeping. It's got the original box, case and caps. It oozes quality!! Are you the original owner of the item being sold?

PentaxForums.com Marketplace Listing Item for Sale
Pentax DA 70mm f2.4 Limited Asking Price
$475 or £290 Item Location
West Yorkshire (UK) Item Description
I'm selling my DA 70mm Limited as I've just got my grubby paws on a DA* 55 :)
It's an excellent copy that's been well cared for - I've just never really felt comfy with the focusing distance (or lack of...) There's no scratches or dings and the optics are great. AF is fast and doesn't need any AF adjustment on my k20d. The cap does have some minor rubbing, but nothing to worry about.
Includes original packaging, lens bag, hood, front & rear caps.
Please feel free to contact me with any questions :)

You'll get a far better idea if you view the piece at 100% (this is the resolution it'll be printed at) and ask yourself if you're happy? So just set it at 300ppi and scale away. You can upscale as much as you like, just remember that bigger doesn't always mean better :)

Just posted about the DA*55 being a little dear - can't see the justification for £600 ($950), yet I'm still insanely tempted.
I think I may be an idiot.

Yeah I thought about the FA, but I am one of those sticklers who loves build quality. The really annoying type who frowns on 90's plastic styling for no good reason...
And yeah the Nokton does sound appealing - but I'm torn with having it completely manual focus. I've really grown accustomed to the quickshift, but having AF to get it in the right ballpark. So I guess MF is a no!
I'm guessing the lens in Scotland is from ffordes?! I asked about it! they never got back though so I guess I just missed the boat - ended up getting the 70mm instead. What a get-up you have by the way axl, pretty much my dream lenses!
Thanks for your input, guess I'll keep my eyes peeled for a 2nd hander or debate selling my current setup! Nice one guys.

Well I've been getting into shooting portraits and similar things - mainly using my DA 40mm & 70mm. Now I love these two lenses, but I've increasingly found more and more of my shots are gagging for less depth of field (in my opinion I guess...) and a crazy bokeh.
I love the 70mm but I'm just not using it much as the length just seems that bit long (and the close focusing a bit short!), so I'm sort of 'making do' with the 40mm. The results are cool but... I just feel I should get the 55mm or maybe the Siggy 50mm. The problem lies in price!
I love Pentax lenses and would love to stay 'in-house', but the cheapest at a reputable place is about £600 - that's $950. I'm sure they weren't that much recently!! Whereas the Sigma seems to be going for around £380 last i checked ($600).
So in short - what would you do?! I'm willing to sell/trade the 70mm and maybe at a stretch the 40mm although it would be a wrench. Also got a Tokina 20-35 f2.8 & the DA II kit lens that are expendable and could be thrown into a deal.
Tell me if I'm a moany git and get on with the pretty good kit I've got!

Not sure about the 50-135, you kinda got my hopes up there! Still more expensive than my house.
