I see from your Flicker photo stream, K3III with DA 1.4x TC and DA*300 - were these taken handheld?

I find the 300 a bit heavy, and I'm a little lazy, so I like to point and shoot with the 55-300 PLM, but adding the TC means I don't get much in low light conditions.

Glad you posted this here anyway, despite not being the DA 15, you'd never guess it's bronze - I liked the composition as well.

So this is more my speed so to speak, big bird, sitting still, doing something I haven't seen before. Every few minutes he'd stick his neck straight up and make a soft sounding call. Other Great Blues were pairing up in the same set of trees, so probably he's advertising the good spot he's picked out for his potential mate? Haven't seen this before.

I've been using my K-70 with the kit lens for work the past few years - very forgiving - not a lot of time to prep the shot before digging into the nitty gritty on a boat survey.
