My new K-30 does the same thing as yours when shotting video. Doesn't seem to affect anything else.

Just got my extended warranty from B&H. The card looks different than the one pictured on the B&H site.
The front says "PENTAX A Ricoh Company Interchangeable Lens Camera Extended Warranty"
The fine print says it's valid for a new "PENTAX RICOH Interchangeable Lens Camera" Doesn't say anything about
any specific type like K series.

Some of us don't want to lug around two devices when one will do. Same reason I got a smart phone to replace a flip phone, an iPod and a P&S.

Negative. I wear bifocals and have enough trouble seeing the LCD. I can't imagine holding it out in front of me to compose a picture with a 300mm lens.

-NO, Cant afford to pay 2900 for pentax?
And even if I could afford it, I wouldn't want the extra weight or size. And I am not interested in EVIL either.

If you look at the Washington DC address in Google Maps Street View, it's a residential neighborhood. I wouldn't order from them.

The DHS is not a totally new organization created 100% from scratch. It does incorporate the old United States Immigration and Naturalization Service and the Coast Guard.

I originally started with a Pentax ME with assorted lenses. When I went digital, I used the Canon A20/A40 P&S cameras at first. I wanted something a little more, so I got a Panasonic FZ15. It was a great camera, but I found out that I had a need to take photos indoors without a flash. It was great outdoors during the day, but the noise levels at high ISOs were terrible.
Later, I decieded that I should make the jump to DSLR and looked around at Canon, Nikon, etc. - but settled on the Pentax DS. The compatability with older lenses was a plus and the fact that it took AAs was a factor. The Canon A20 that I had earlier used AAs, but the Panasonic used an expensive proprietary lithium battery. I wanted something that used AA's after that.

I may delete the obviously bad ones on the spot. Usually I will wait until they are on my computer so I can review them in more detail. Even then, I hate to delete anything. I am afraid that I will delete something and then later on wished I hadn't. So far, drive space is cheap.

I think this is the case - at least for the DS. When I had my DS and flashed it with the latest firmware, it started numbering pics over from the beginning. Well, since I had already taken numerous photos with it earlier and didn't want to have duplicate filenames, I found out that if I put an existing photo on the card(say number 2000) and then started taking photos - it would continue the numbering from the next available (2001).
I am not sure what happens if I renumber a photo on a card to some random value and then put it in my camera. I suspect it will look on the card and start numbering based on the highest value it sees.
