Quirky is a good word.
I had the dp2 Quattro for over 6-months.
The unusual design was adaptable.
Images were lovely. The black and white images were silky.
DNG was a welcome file format for use in Lightroom. Although, they were large - over 100MB
The LCD viewfinder (no EVF) was dim and not very useful - fortunately the electronic screen level was useful.
The leaf shutter was awesome.
ISO above 400 for color was unusable (colors desaturated and noise in the shadows).
I found it an interesting camera. Loved using it, even if at times frustrating.

Nice. I had the dp2 Quattro. If you haven't researched online. Best to keep the ISO at 100. If you want to process the RAW files you will need Sigma's Photo Pro software. However from what I recall from my research, I believe the SD Quattro outputs DNG also. - the dp2 did.

The biggest issue imo, is fitting it to different bodies. The sensor assembly could have a sensor that monitors when the shutter has opened. Batteries and electronics could fit into the film cassette side holders.

I am going in opposite direction, having used larger / heavy cameras in the past (film days all metal monsters). As the years progressed I have switched to fixed lens lighter weight. Currently a Ricoh GR IIIx.

In digital cameras, the EV dial allows a nice live quick view of the scene while letting the other camera settings float.
I usually auto-bracket when in varying tough afternoon light, -1/+1
