I guess that you all use Pentax for long time... I just got the first Pentax a month ago and it is film camera. Of course, I prefer to get DSRL one than film but film can bring us a different feeling... When shooting, I excite to watch how it look like... and even in 1 roll, I just get some picture but the feeling is so much different from digital one. We have to wait some time before to see how your kids... LOL.

Hope it become true... so K10 and K20 will be cheaper and I could get one... Take film is too hard for this time... Hehehe

@Mike Cash: thanks for your information but this body doesn't have this setting - I guess it replace by "F stop other than A" in CF.

I open this thread because can not get the right solution for my *ist D and M42.
I am using *ist D and has 3 M42 with non-flange M42-K mount. The lens fix on body without any problem accept the body can not focus indicating. I have try with many way
- Set CF with "F Stop other than A" on
- Tape the pin on body in full, only 2 rest.
- Change M42 lens. Small not cover the pins, bigger cover the pins...
and the body still no focus indicating... Any body have the advice on this issue?

Thanks Kuuan for your information.
I have got Ist-D for few hours but I love this color... Even it's too slow to compare with my old 30D and 1D of Canon. However, it is the first step with Pentax.
I got the M42 mount without flange but can not get focus confirm on my M42. Still in decorvering this body.

Hi all:
I gona get one ist-D and have no experience about it. How compatible of this camera with MF lens (I mean M42 and Pentax mount K)? It is fully focus confirm (auto focus with 11 point) or only center point as K100?
By the way, I hear that there is some old lens mout K will be locked in the D-RSL body. Is it right? if so, what lens is it?

Yes - even I don't plan to get any FF right now, but it is soon or late it will be.

However, soon or late, Pentax and Olympos will have a FF dual Canon and Nikon and Sony is on the road. That's the trend!
