While in college in the 1970's I took three semesters of photography, BW with film learning to develop film and use an enlarger. The old twin lens reflex 120 roll film camera the college provided was soon replaced by my purchase of a PETRI FTE 35mm SLR CAMERA 55mm Lens from K-Mart. For class I still had to use BW film but now I had switched to 35mm.
My grandmother had a farm in the Texas Panhandle with a large barn and corral next to the farm house.
This photo was the first one that really got me excited by composition. After college I worked in the new field of business computing as a software developer but I never lost my interest in cameras and photography.
My new bride made me get rid of the BW lab in our bathroom in 1980 when we first married, so I switched to film going through Petri, Minolta, Cannon and Pentax film cameras before getting my first digital Pentax the D*ist in 2010. Now I use the K-70. Still going after 50 years of look, see and shoot.

A coal fired steam powered locomotive Durango Silverton Train running out of Durango Colorado, USA.
Taken July 14,2010 at the end of the line in Silverton. The engineer is holding a Railroad Oil Can.
Taken with my first Pentax camera using the 50mm short zoom kit lens.

Great balance in the shot. It is difficult to do in a foursome plus photo. Shot does not appear posed. The counter point of the couple with the cell phone in the background is amusing.
