Since my englisch isnt really the best and german is my native language, please dont judge, haha.

Circular Polariser, i mean i never heard of it, but do you got a link that i can imagine which is good ?

I mean i got this lenses: Pentax 18-55 II, SMC PENTAX-DFA Macro 1:2.8 100mm WR, SMC PENTAX-DA 1:2.8 200mm ED (IF) SDM, SMC PENTAX-FA 1:1.8 77mm LIMITED, SMC PENTAX-FA 1:1.8 31mm AL LIMITED
I mean the only thing that makes me a bit unsatisfied is that i need constantly changing my lenses for good photos there thats why i am asking is there some lenses which people here can prefere for uses like Zoo's or maybe Aqua Zoo.

I got 2 Kameras once the K-1 and the K-3 III and the lenses i mentioned above the quote, but just in case, here again.
Pentax 18-55 II, SMC PENTAX-DFA Macro 1:2.8 100mm WR, SMC PENTAX-DA 1:2.8 200mm ED (IF) SDM, SMC PENTAX-FA 1:1.8 77mm LIMITED, SMC PENTAX-FA 1:1.8 31mm AL LIMITED

My Budget is about 300 Euro momentarily. Hmm since i live in Vienna there are not much Animals outside except bugs maybe, but i use for bugs macro lense for that. But i got my problems with theyre movement sometimes if they move that makes my picture blury.

Thanks for the Info.

Thanks for detail answer. I already have the pentax Fa 100mm Macros lens. I will try it with that, thanks.

(eng translation):
Thanks for the reply. Of course I'm trying to learn a lot at the moment, unfortunately I don't have any instructions sheet for the camera, so my little motto is, learning by doing. I didn't have any instructions for the camera yet. At the moment I was only able to stick to YouTube as a source and get a little general information about how the whole thing works. Of course I strive to get better and would like to pursue this further. That's why I turn partly to the community because the experience is very important to me and you sometimes hear/read new things.

I will send after my work the Pictures that i made this weekend :) then you can see with what kind of problems i am xD struggling.

Hello,

And i got a second questions: If a animal is moving is there a option how i can catch with my camera a good picture ? Which settings and what should i do ?

Thanks for help in forward

Thanks I was looking for groups in vienna, but a bit hard to find. I know i am impatient so instead doing babysteps i motivate myself to make something challenging. But no worry looking anyway for a group that i can learn and enhance my skills.

I mean i got 2 SD cards one for RAW and one for JPG. The SD card for RAW habe 512 GB and the JPG 128 GB. I mean it should do the writing speed is "alright". I made a lot series pictures on my K-3 III
it went well. But i think i will buy some new one for better writing speed anyway. I want to invest a bit for the future and SD cards are anyway necessary.

Such a wonderful picture. I wish it would be a bit easier, haha. Photographing is a lot of fun, and there is much to learn. Don't worry, I always use the JPG + RAW function; it's the best way if I would like to edit the RAW file. I mean, I mean, I could make it anyway later to JPG again. It's not like it's not possible. I got a new carbon tripod; it's very good and very steady, so it's resistant to wind, and I could even put it on a rock, and it doesn't move an inch. So in total, I will work with it, but at first xD I will need to use my two hands to make photos because tomorrow is the day called convention. So I will be there and shoot a lot of pictures.

People have told me I need a better/faster SD card, but I am not sure if it is necessary as a beginner, so I would like to know what you think about it.

---------- Post added 08-11-23 at 04:38 PM ----------

Thank you. I mean, I don't understand much about cameras; it's the same as cars, but I know it will take a lot of time and research to find the peak that I am looking for. Most of the time, I pass a lot of beautiful places, and my eye catches an astonishing feeling that tells me that moment is like gold—priceless. Sure, many people told me it's nice to have a K-1, but xD as a beginner, this is a bit overkill. I mean, I bought it from a friend for a decent price, because I want to make more out of it. I will want to see where my limit in the future will be.

Likewise, I've used the 100*mm lens on my K3-III, and it was awesome. I love macro, and I love this feeling of seeing something small that gets big and very detailed. I've put a link from my Google Drive macro picture here, so anyone who clicks that can see it. I just need to say it's a.PEF file, and it's the RAW footage, it's 28.7 MB. The link is below.

I've bought a book. I mean, it's in German; I don't know if that's a big deal, but he explains it very understandably, and I would say it is pretty good for me.

Thanks for the reply. Sure, there is still a long way to go, and I could do better, but I didn't edit the picture. I thought at first I would try to see if there could be more made of this picture, and thank you for the advice, it's awesome. With the K-1, I will be going next week to the same place. I got a very good tripod. I got it as a gift since I got the camera, and he didn't need it anymore. So I hope this will fix some of my habits. Let's see how this goes.

---------- Post added 08-11-23 at 03:59 PM ----------

Thanks for the reply, but this one is an older picture. I got a new camera, the K-1, with four additional lenses. So I think it would not be necessary to invest another 500 Euro I hope.

Hi ho

I live in Vienna, and it is my FAVORITE spot there because I love the city and car lights if they are glowing. It's really a magnificent sight and a beautiful place to chill and drink a beer. This shot was from all the samples that I did the best. My internal screaming that I had that day was very problematic because doing photos at night can be very tricky and problematic . I've played very much with the ISO to understand a bit of what it does as a beginner, and that was the best moment to understand. I've played very much with the shutter time. For my luck, I had a photo stand with me, which gave me the opportunity to see the beauty of a picture. But I am still unsatisfied, so if there is some advice, I will gladly accept it for the future.

Thanks.

Thank you all for the awesome comments. Like you all mentioned, it's not really the beginner-friendliest camera. I've got the Pentax K-3, but it's a bit easier to use that than the K-1. The K-1 got a bunch of extras that are confusing in many ways, and most of the YouTube clips had a very good explanation that motivates me to work more with the K-1.

This weekend is a little event that I will be attending, and I will go there to take some pictures and try to show the results here in a few days. I know I am a little bit impatient because I am still a beginner, but on the other side, it gives me more power to explore and motivation to do something astonishing.

Most of the pictures I took were macro photos, so I would have a lot of trouble *laugh* with portrait and street pictures. So I will do my best to make people's jaws drop as a photographer to capture the beautiful moments.

So I have started today to play with the 77*mm and 31*mm to get a hang of it. If there are more guides, it would be a pleasure to get them inside my brain, haha.

I wanted to ask: is some light blitzing necessary if I want to take some pictures in the dark ?

Hello,

I've bought from a friend of mine his equipment for a new hobby that I have developed in the past few months. It's very interesting, and I am still confused because there is so much that I need to know about it.

So I thought I'd ask the forum, because it's better to ask the pros before doing something that my brain can't explain.

The thing is, I've got a Pentax K-1 with 4 camera lenses.

He explained a lot, but he isn't really the best to explain something because he drifts fast away from the subject, and I am just standing there hearing a monologue of some complicated words that my brain can't even understand.

My first question is: How good is the camera? I mean, I saw some pictures, and they were astonishing, but what do I need to know about the camera ?

The second: I have four lenses, but I really don't know what lens is for what purpose. So, can somebody explain to me what I could do with those lenses?
SMC PENTAX-DFA Macro 1:2.8 100*mm WR → I mean, it says macro, and I think it's really understandable, haha.
SMC PENTAX-DA 1:2.8 200*mm ED (IF) SDM
SMC PENTAX-FA 1:1.8 77 mm LIMITED
SMC PENTAX-FA 1:1.8 31 mm AL LIMITED

If you took some pictures with one of the lenses, it would be nice to see how the experts are doing with them.
Sorry for my English; I have done my best, but I am a native language speaker. Communicating face-to-face is, for me, easier in English than writing.
Thank you!
