Arrived 2 days ago and have had the chance to use it today,have gone through f1.8-f22 and(from my eyes) no problems at all,so in the end,ones a winner

Undecided as of yet,really enjoy this month until i got a big minus,but,i also got a big plus to(lens issue)
Have to say that Sigma DC 17-70 2.8-45 is a cracker,and a real bargain also,got it extra cheap(£30) because of a small scratch to the front glass,never showed up once,so 8/10 for me

Hi all,well as said before the sigma DC 17-70 got a stray bullet form somewhere,wounded but not dead,took time out today to see if it was repairable
After some research,i came across this guy

Believe it or not,mine had the same problem,of course took me a lot longer to do(2hrs) but i got there,i now have the lens back and working,i'm a happy chappy.
PS,i have a brief description on what i did,with a few pics,wheres the best place on the site to post it?

I have to agree,i got more joy/better results from the MF(50mm) lens i used in Nov SIC then i did with the plastic fantastic(50mm),i used in Dec Sic

My introduction is this,my very 1st camera way back around 1973 was some 110 kodak pocket Instamatic,was snapping away like no tomorrow,just loved taking photos.
Time moved on,next camera was a Minolta(for the life of me i cant remember which one:mad:) i bought while serving in germany around 1980,again clicking away at anything and everything,just loved taking photos
41 years later(2021) after watching some ytube clip(bored during lockdown) the spark happened,i wanted to take pictures again
So,at a bootsale,for next to nothing i bought a fuji finepix,after that,was a samsung NX1000,that was then replaced by an oly epl5,that got sold for an oly e-m1(to which i really liked)
But i've jumped ship,why,because i've fallen into the vintage lenses gang,after tons of reading/research pentax has mega loads of lens to play with plus M43 toys aren't cheap
So,i'm now the proud owner of a K70(again,utube vids got me hooked),happy,sure,so far so good;)
I've still a load to learn about photography and at 59yo,every day s a school day,so be prepared for some stupid kid questions:lol:
If you got this far from this intro,then thanks,if not,well i dont blame you,i can tend to waffle on a bit,lol

Might be me,but i'm beginning to think the lens i used in movember gave me more joy(and results) than the plastic fantastic i'm using now,still,only 9 days in,to early to make a call as yet

Well i enjoyed the challenge this month and the lens,although i wont give it 10/10,maybe a 8,just,had to sharpen up a little bit in post most of the time,still,switching the brain to B&W while seeing colour was a learning curve
Alas,the last week or so has been hectic due to work commitments,so quite annoyed i didnt finish off the month fully

All i can say is i think i bit off more than i can chew,didnt really think hard enough about my choice,esp for my 1st challenge,still,live and learn,stick it out till the end,will i keep it,prob yes(maybe),but only for what its intended for,nothing else

I took a wonder in my local woods,as you do of course,happy snapping away at this and that when something caught my eye
I then move around this tree just a little to find the one ray of sun peering through the treetops to light up this,amazing

Well i've joined,be a 1st for me,so,i'm going with my K-70 and a vintage lens Kaligar Auto 135mm f2.8,why,well i last use this lens xmas time on a E-m1 and its not been out since,plus i like it
