thanks for the input... i am going to purchase a good fast zoom lens after christmas... im just looking for the best one for around $750 or lower... i get to be as close as 10 feet from the girls when they are on my side of the court and no more than 50 feet away when they are near the other sideline so that is the approximate focal length but i want a fast lens to take some freeze shots! i have been playing around with the kit lens, taking some panning photos... do you recommend a nice fast 2.8?

i do get to sit right on the floor so when the girls are near me i can get good shots... i was worried about the large minumum f value like you said... i will probably get some decent still shots, but like you said i probably wont be able to shoot anything faster than 1/60 with the large f value... thanks a lot. i will be purchasing a lens just for these scenarios, any hints???

thanks a lot! i have heard multiple things about filters... i may get an expensive uv filter just for protection like you said just because i will be outdoors and so close to the subjects... i would hate for that awesome dfa 100 to get damaged... i think the dfa 100 is my decision... hopefully some others will chime in so i get the right lens... i strongly hinted at the ring flash on a wish list... maybe i will get lucky... even with the discount its still pricey... thanks for your input i appreciate it...

i have a k200d that will be used mostly for outdoor macro photography... my mom works for pentax in golden, Colorado USA so i get a fantastic deal on pentax/hoya glass...

My questions: What are the best macro lenses? i have heard a lot of good things about the 100mm da... and what are the best filters for outdoor macro close-ups?

i just purchased a pentax k200d and im relatively new to the dslr scene... my mother in law works for pentax in golden colorado. my first questions are about batteries and memory? which are the best batteries to use? NiMH rechargeable? what brand? And memory... sd extreme III, cfII?

also... i will be purchasing a macro that will be used for insect photography for my fly fishing website. any suggestions?? stick with pentax glass or?? and since i will be outside during the majority of shooting, should i purchase a few lens filters for protection?

I also have a question about an image sensor cleaning kit... any suggestions? should i buy the pentax kit? how often do k200d owners that shoot outdoor clean their sensors? and how often does an outdoor k200d user check the dust system?
