I just got back from a 3 week trip to visit my grandparents in the Ukraine, here is a sample of the photos I took. Will probably post more later, after I recover from jetlag and get around to the rest of the 400+ shots I snapped.

Thanks, and I do like your edit of the mounties. The flag on the Peace Tower is the Governor General's flag. It takes precedence over the national flag and it's flown over any building the Governor General is visiting.

The third one is an HDR, the white spots you see are ghosting, which unfortunately tends to happen with HDR rendering.

We have a small AC unit that barely takes care of the living room as it is...and I'm used to hot and humid, being from Cuba after all...but it IS a shame that Ottawa doesn't have any decent beaches :).

What do you do when you come home from work at 1am to an apartment with no electricity, because your roomate didn't pay the hydro bill on time?
Well, you obviously take a moment to reconsider your living situation, but, gotta give credit when due - at least he did pick up some candles - so at this point I can't vent my day's frustrations by shooting up some Nazis in Red Orchestra, but at least I can read, play my acoustic guitar, and try out photography by candlelight:

I really like the second version - was going to say it looked dramatic, and then I read the description :D. Virtual Photographer is a great tool.
