Hi Pentaxians,
Does anybody know where can I send some broken lenses and a abused camera for repair/maintenance?
My Doughter dropped a K01 with a 10-17mm Fisheye mounted, the lens got bended and focus/zoom can't turn.
I have the 50-135 with SDM focus problem, I tried to fixed myself and now I can't control aperture, it is stuck to F/2.8 (but camera detected as F - manual aperture only).
I have a 100mm f/2.8 that doesn't focus correctly, and a part is missing.
I had an accident with my K5 when it had a Sigma 10-20 f/3.5 mounted, results: K5 lost the mode dial button, the lens eject button, and got really dirty, the lesn got the K-Mount ring off, I attached again using the screws (i found the missing one) but now I got a weird vignete when used at 10mm.
So as you can see I have had some problems with my equipment, I take care of them most of time but accidents happens, and is time to pay for them, so if you know where can I send them and to get a good price for fixing all of them at the same price it would be good.

Hi,
I am planing to go to a Color Run (that race where people is cover with color dust), and I have seen some comments about problems that happen to most of cameras, I am wondering if taking my weatherproof K5 and a 18-55 WR lens will work, or I should avoid it. Is there any forum member that have covered any of those events with one similar setup? any advice is welcome.

Cool, we are neighbors, reivax; I have been a PENTAX user since 2008, with K20D, then K7, and K5 and I recently bought a K-01 (yellow Color), and I just love PENTAX, and all the glass you can get and use.

I recently noticed that my K7 is not showing metric ruler (underexposed, center or overexposed) information for light metering, is it something wrong with it or is it a setting I moved and I don't know how to take it back?

I have been at Sammy's twice this year and they have not PENTAX equipment, except for a couple of old 67 bodies at third floor, I am now at San Diego and neither George's or Nelson's have PENTAX, what is wrong with them, these are amazing cameras/lenses, they are really missing a great business opportunity here.

Thanks for those useful tips! I will try some of them today.
I have been used my K20D for about 2 years, and I still love it, I never thought to replace it by the K7, and I am not sure I will move to K5 yet, sounds tempting but not good for family economy.
I use User mode all the time, with AF button pressed with my thumb half pressed shutter disabled, learned at Daystar Visions page.
Something that tricked me at the beginning was the usage of Takumars, I used to forgot to switch from AF to MF, and when I pressed shutter button it never fired, until i realize this switch will help me.
I will be waiting for that K20D Manual in ePub format to check it on my iPad, thanks Brecklundin

Well, I just order my D-Xenon 100mm F/2.8 Macro, $385 including S&H, from Amazon store, if it is an exact copy of the Pentax version I would be saving a couple of hundreds. The ETA is Dec/28th, so I will let you know how doest it feel and performs.
